Boris for me.
He’s sounding out his allies, Shirley. After this fiasco they should ALL be his allies!
I'd LOVE him to come back. I'm not giving up hope yet !!
“ jno Boris will stand, according to the Times. "Said to believe it is a matter of national interest.”

HA!!!
Jeremy Hunt has ruled himself out
imagine if boris johnson wins and then gets recalled as a result of the privileges committee report and they have to choose another one…
a long shot but not impossible!

I’d like to see Ben Wallace enter the race
Boris all the way :-)
Definitely not Sunak. Boris deciding to stand now provides an unexpected wild card. If the membership have a say (which they should, having been effectively told that they are unimportant - not a wise move) he's in with a shout. Suella Braverman has cleared some space for herself and she's been quite impressive despite no back-up from the ex-P.M.. I originally wanted her or Kemi Badenoch and I'd stick with that.
//He was the one who rightly predicted everything that would happen if Truss rolled out her fiscal policies.//

Odd that isnt it given it's his City mates that did most of the damage to Truss - and made a fortune in so doing.
//If the membership have a say //

They wont. A new PM will be in place by 10/28/22. No time to consult the membership.

A few candidates will stand, there will be a high number for Sunak, the others will agree to stand down 'for the good of the Party'. As happened with May.

Ben Wallace is the lying toady who blatantly lied about preventing the animals and vet staff being airlifted out of Afghanistan. God help Larry if he gets in.
As long as we don’t have anymore farcical hustings from them
I didn’t know it was him Lanky, in fact I haven’t really took notice of him till now
It looks like Boris is quite popular with some abers. He should read this thread !

I think the full details are yet to be released, but Graham Brady made clear that the party members would be consulted, or at least that there was still time to. Presumably this means an online ballot, or perhaps canvassing by literally knocking on doors.

Of course, it could be moot if, as you say, MPs agree on a single candidate (Sunak). But the divisions laid bare in Summer's contest won't have gone away, and are if anything worse, so I am not sure he can command majority support among MPs just yet. We'll see. Things will move quickly over the weekend, hopefully.
