I think it should have been Manchester, as apparently that's the british city with the biggest Ukrainian population.

I pinot out that if one says
roses are blue, violets are red - is wrong even tho' it mattereth not in these days of autumn

Liverpool has been twinned with Odessa in Ukraine since the 50s - maybe helped?

Well the EBU is pleased. We heard in the pub tonight and everyone was happy...so I guess the answer is no. :-)
I’m amazed it’s still going tbh, I haven’t watched it since Bucks Fizz win it!
the former home of Unesco world heritage sites? I suppose they could do with a little cultural cachet these days. Plus it keeps the competition out of the evil witch Sturgeon's hands.

ichkeria, the last time I watched it was Sandie Shaw. She tried out a different song on the Rolf Harris show every week and made a complete horlicks of Puppet on a String - missed the beat entirely and had to start over. Still, it saw her all the way through.
