I did wonder what it was about when I read it yesterday.
Seems like some sort of ‘think tank’ more than anything else, but given that Truss can’t decide if Macron is friend or foe(awkward photo yesterday) I daresay Mrs Flip Flop will shortly be breaking out the Château Neuf de Pap and brie.

I think this is the first steps of rejoining the EU and try to get Britain working again, after the mess the previous PM left behind him.
a bit vague, isn't it. AB's Brexiters seemed to approve of the old EEC as a trading unit but despise any sort of political collaboration, so I'll let them speak their piece.

But by the sound of it, this will be more of a talking and partying club with frequent jollies for ministers to attend.

At the next G/E. Maybe Truss will try to get re/elected By promising to rejoln the E/U , just like Boris got elected by coming out..lol.
Though very few would admit it because it’s all about losing face at this stage, it’ll be her only guaranteed vote-winner! Lol.
oh fatso you have gone off your heart throb of yesterday....

Macron set this up to salvage his reputation - Feb24 Putin assured M that he wd not invade Ukraine and did so 6 h later....
M suffered grave reputational damage

The A/B Brexiteers are very silent on this post.
You should know by now gully that they just don't take kindly to the truth on here. It hurts so much!!

"Brexiters seemed to approve of the old EEC as a trading unit but despise any sort of political collaboration".

True; but all trust in the EU has been long lost, and such things as a "European *Political* Community" definitely has red flags hanging all over it. It seems to be just the very thing objected to, and nothing else. Wouldn't touch it with a bargepole, personally. Liz would be wise to avoid it too if she want to retain support of the party now, or the country come the next GE.

Pimply @ 14.20. Wonder where A/Bs Chief Brexiteer is today.. Mr Sovereignty ?.

Lol, whereas the EU would trust the UK, the paragons of virtue currently looking to wriggle out of the NI part of the Brexit ‘oven-ready’ deal?
Truss is about to get her legs slapped over that by Big Joe too.
You will be well aware that the "oven ready deal" was never made due to EU unreasonable rejection, so there's no point in suggesting otherwise. You will also be well aware that the UK isn't wriggling out of anything and that the agreement allows for sorting out issues that arise but it's the EU that's being stubborn and causing problems, as usual. The only problem with the UK is that their politicians are all talk and don't seem to want to do what needs to be done. The EU knows full well that the UK is trustworthy, unlike themselves, but they don't care because they have their own agendas, both personal, and EU, and seem to have no morals.
hi Fats - yesterdays heart throb was one Liz Truss
and by today it seems it is All Over
or as you might say - - Never Was

I can only comment on what I read

oven ready deal

o god you are not gonna say anyone believed any of that bull are you.

more gullible than the simpleton beggar in Ivan Groznyy (1944), Eisenstein's film.
Old_Geezer,
//The EU knows full well that the UK is trustworthy, unlike themselves, but they don't care because they have their own agendas, both personal, and EU, and seem to have no morals.//

Did you miss the last 3 years in UK politics??
The UK government is currently looking to backtrack on and modify the Brexit deal that THEY negotiated.
You can see his the mistrust would work both ways?
Truss said the jury and was out on Macron, bring pathetically cheered by the Werthers Warriors. He gave a far more measured and statesmanlike response, as one might expect from a foreign leader who uses diplomatic language.
Now she’s mooting joining his EU think tank club. I’d imagine EU politicians must think our lot decidedly amateur.

What exactly is wrong with that? if something isn't working (which the NI Protocol clearly isn't) efforts must be made to fix it. Are you suggesting that any agreement a country signs up to is irrevocable? Why should that be?
