Tory Mp Liam Fox says he can't see any wrong doing after getting £20,000 from a Covid testing firm he recommended to the Government during the Pandemic. And the health sec at that time was Matt Hancock.
......We are all in his together, say the Cronies...Usual Tory Greed.
...........I expect 20 grand is just peanuts to him.

So just the usual unsubstantiated BS then? Right oh!
A lot of them (Cabinet) disgraced themselves, ttt. Saw Covid as a chance to make a quick buck.
May yet be Fox on the run, how Sweet.

Liam fox sent an E-mail to Hancock who was Health Sec at that the time, saying that Derbyshire based
Sure Screen were doing extremely well in producing Covid testing kits etc ,and would he pass this information on to PHE Public Health England and ask them to get in touch with this Company.
Seven months later , the Company was awarded a
£500m contract . Good value for only a £20,000 back hander
I guarantee to get you a £500 million if I get £20,000 for myself is , it seems to me, a good deal.

Personally I would have asked for £200,000.

Just like Owen Paterson,
Companies generally pay people who bring business in. It’s usually called commission.
Question Author
Naomi 17.23 ...But the £500m was tax payers money. How much do you think of that money was trousered .Maybe you do not know as much about Trousers as Boris does.
If through my work, my actions resulted directly in another company gaining business and they paid me ‘commission’ for me getting them that work – my employer would view that ‘commission’ as a bribe or other inappropriate payment; and most likely sack me.
MP champions local business shocker.

Err, isn’t that part of their job?

Non story.
DD, championing a local business is one thing, and certainly something a politician should do to benefit their constituencies, but when they start to accept handouts for doing so, it becomes a conflict of interests.
"MP champions local business shocker."

As he is an MP in Somerset and the company is based in Derby, in what way was he supporting a local business?
I’d almost certainly be sacked from my job for doing what Liam Fox did – why should he not be sacked.
