Ah, one of uncle Albert's tales no doubt.
What a big fat liar.
Ideal to fill Johnson’s shoes.
She, like the rest of the bunch, is not fit to fill Johnson's shoes. Aspiring above their capabilities the lot of them.

That may well be, Naomi, but one of them will have to at least try.
My RN service was memorable. I went to the RN recruitment office in Deansgate, Manchester. Wanted to be an ERA. It was all very good and interesting. But I was only 15, approaching my 16th birthday. I signed all the forms but my dad had to endorse them as I was under 18 and would only be in junior service. My dad went ballistic and tore the forms up. "You are not joining the f****** navy!" I was really upset by that as he was a WW2 RN veteran.

So there we are folks. My "RN service" lasted as long as it took me to get from the recruitment office, back to our house. Some of us have served our country! Not! :o)

But at least she got the uniform on!
She was a Navy reservist not one of the kin cockleshell heroes. PMSL! Sunak's camp dirty tricks that's all.
Oh dear, the cynic in me has just spotted something.

She only became a naval reservist AFTER she was selected to fight the Portsmouth seat for the Conservatives.
She was in PR so probably thought it would look good on her election leaflet in her naval constituency.
She became a full time MP a few weeks later, so she has not served on an operational deployment and does not currently fulfil the Royal Naval Reserve’s training commitments.

(A bit of a fraud really).
08.59 Johnson is all mouth and no trousers. Naomi.
As the article states she was a member of the Naval reserve, she is fully entitled to also state she was a member of the armed forces. This from the Royal Navy reservist web site.

" Our Reservists are essential members of our Armed Forces."

The article says senior naval officers have questioned.... and then goes on to quote just one retired unnamed officer. If anything is lopsided it's this report.
I'm sure you looked at the link, TTT, but the opening part is very clear:

Last night, a highly-decorated former senior Royal Navy officer said: ‘She isn’t [currently] a trained or paid reservist, she’s never qualified or been commissioned. She’s been banging the naval drum for days and enough is enough. How she has presented herself – and how she has allowed herself to be presented – have been deeply misleading.’

However, the one thing wrong with this is that the "highly decorated former senior Royal Navy officer" is not named. I think it might have had more impact if he/she had been.
It seems that being the MP for a naval town (and subsequently Defence Secretary - for 85 days) gained her rapid promotion to (honorary) Commander and then Captain. Prior to that she was an Acting sub-Lieutenant (the lowest commissioned rank in the Royal Navy).

Seems her naval credentials are not all she would have us believe they are cracked up to be.
As the song goes:

...bright and breezy, free and easy...

With the whole truth perhaps?
The more I see and hear of PM the less I like.

But, not up to me or indeed most of us :-)
09:20, that's not at all like a politician is it Gromit! They never do things to ingratiate themselves with the electorate do they! PMSL! So basically people are having a go at her for being a politician! That's what they do!
Hmmm,
// she does not currently fulfil the Royal Naval Reserve’s training commitments. //

Yet she found time to go on the reality TV show ‘Splash!’ and belly flopped.

She definitely has a few advantages over the previous PM :-)
