Fatticusinch, As far as I’m aware, unless an MP dies or relinquishes his seat there is no by-election. Corbyn was elected on a Labour ticket and because of all his problems now sits as an independent. I think I have a bit of a grasp of politics. The question is do you? Perhaps not. Or perhaps you’re just getting over-excited again.
there is a process under the Recall of MPs Act 2015 where a recall petition could be triggered, if one of a specific set of qualifying circumstances is reached. being investigated by the sleaze watchdog wouldn't of itself trigger the process unless the matter was subsequently referred to the Committee on Standards. after that the petition would only be successful if signed by 10% of the electorate. that threshold is by no means certain to be reached - for all his faults, Mr Pincher has been a very good constituency MP.

Interesting week ahead. Regardless of the ‘help’ he’s receiving it may be deemed that he avoid parliament altogether in order to get that help.
Either way, I reckon party and public opinion will be against him, especially in light of his previous indiscretion in 2017.

they have intimacy co-ordinators on film sets these days so if there are sex scenes there's some assurance that actors, especially female ones, won't be coerced into doing things they're unhappy with and haven't agreed to.
Perhaps Parliament should set up a similar position so that MPs can be dissuaded from over-amorous behaviour (and stealing, taking drugs and so forth).
