ZM, I didn't say I was new to AB, in fact I joined in 2008, but my main interest is Crosswords. I have only in comparatively recent times taken to reading the news threads and as I said I have gradually picked up TTT's abbreviations, but newcomers may not have.
This does seem like rather a fatuous post.
12.22 Or maybe wear a pig skin coat.
Think Zolenski!! I just don't like men in suits and ties. Silly outfit anyway. I think what you wear expresses your personality. Unless it's a uniform, just dress how you are comfortable. I would trust a man in jeans and T-shirt more than a man in suit and tie and shiny shoes.

And Boris looks fine in that photo.
So my answer to the question is you can't judge by appearance at all.
Seeing that there would have been more than one photograph taken and the BBC is anti Boris, it's obvious they picked the one that shows him more disheveled than anybody else.
The truth is Boris was trying dress himself for the first time .It's not his fault.
I have to say Kaja Kallas looks very nice today.
Boris loves acting the clown , why not try and dress like one.... lol.
Is the OP impressed by Erdogan's 3 piece suit?
Erdogan - Turkey - no sanctions on Russia, despite NATO expecting all its members to impose restrictions on Moscow.
vulcan is correct when he says //Seeing that there would have been more than one photograph taken and the BBC is anti Boris, it's obvious they picked the one that shows him more dishevelled than anybody else.//

SKY had on it's webpage a photo taken a fraction later/earlier showing Boris looking much better. Whatever your views of Boris are, he is the British PM & it behoves the British media not to overtly show him in the worst light. It proves once again that BBC News is a sick department which needs badly sorting.

Oh that was sweet. One of the other members trying to straighten Johnson's tie for him. :-)
It is not what they say
it is what they do
but Chamberlain I admit never really looked like a war leader
and the Old Goat ( Lloyd George - did)

but let us consider the jaw jaw after the war war - who is going to believe Putin? - even HE says that the westerners all think he is a damned liar....

and whilst I am at it - thanks to Ich for keeping us informed
Everyone’s jacket is buttoned and look smart except for one person - Boris.
Looks like they have let a drunk gatecrash the party, and perhaps they have.

He is not catching flies on the BBC picture.

I hear...Where am I? Who am I? Who are all these people, Gromit. :-)
If only his flies were undone, it would have made gromit's day complete.
Maybe somebody had done them up for him before the cameras started, Khandro?
Undone I think. The PM is known for his constant state of readiness.
State of readiness? Not a Boris image I wanted, Douglas... :-(
If only his flies were undone,

then he dresses as he acts
( or - - - then he undresses before he acts...)
or....
