Also, I'm extremely miffed that women are being pushed aside to make room for them. It's taken a long, hard road for women to have what they have (and in some cases still striving for equality) and are expected to give up their current places in society to cater for trans folk.

What they have lopped off or pumped up is irrelevant. Nothing makes them what they're not. But I agree with you about women being pushed aside. If they're women, what does that make us?

I'm not very good at explaining myself, Naomi, but here goes :-)

They can call themselves women if bits are off and pumped but I deeply and thoroughly object to them pushing in on sports.
I've no problem (I think) with them being a lawyer or similar where sex or gender really shouldn't matter in your ability to do a job.

Police Scotland are going to have problems - gawd, the world has gone loopy and not in a good way.

there it is... it always comes down to this eventually... any discussion about trans people invariably comes back to lopping off willies or boobies... you find trans people disgusting so you won't acknowledge them... tough. they are real.

the truth is we don't go around checking each other's biological sex organs or whip out microscopes to check each other's chromosomes... you interact with people as male or female depending on how they present themselves... that is what gender is when you get down to it... another thing entirely from biological sex.

It's like this: a very tiny, (but highly vocal) proportion of the world's males want to be, & wish they were females, and there is a similar cohort of females who want to be males.

There are also a lot of people who would like to be millionaires & some who want to be movie stars or formula 1 drivers, but it's a never going to happen for them, it's such a shame, but tough titty!
