morning, Wednesday already and the 1st of the month, it's going so fast. I hope that you are all in fine fettle and that your day is a good one. Any plans for today, other than perhaps those who are working.

I have a few chores to do later, but that won't take long, then i can sort out the Christmas cards, i have posted a few to friends, and the rest i can send next week.

that's good, i am still in pain, and going out yesterday for lunch was lovely but i had to lie down when i got in to stop it from hurting.

because i had a nice lunch yesterday i didn't eat last night and i am now hungry, so in a little while i will have some bread and marmalade
to fill up before breakfast.

Beef and mushroom casserole with added veg and hot bread.

nor will you, i wish i was a better cook. I can follow recipes, and have 8 cookbooks, but don't look at them often. I have relied on ready meals for quite a while, and i guess that makes me lazy.

Not at all, the less you cook for the more difficult it is.
How many ingredients needed, how many pans, etc.
How much wastage?
Take the economical and easy path and enjoy life

I also have many cookbooks.

They are only used for inspiration.

Couldn't follow a recipe if my life depended on it.

you're so right, it has become difficult to cook from scratch - though i have lots of stuff in the freezer which doesn't get eaten. i am relying on ready meals each day, i must get around to cooking again.
i do find it a chore and not a good one to cook just for one.

The weather is wet and wild here, out later for lunch after rather man slave has dried off from walking the dogs.

Yes thanks I am almost calm, back to reality on Sunday and the house move!
But on the plus side I have knitted a blanket for my new house.
It’s so relaxing here we are out during the day and play board games in the evening or watch a movie.
Just a shame I have had a flair up of the sciatica
