I wasn’t defending the Taliban, quite the opposite.
I was calling yous out as hypocrites.
We have always known Saudi has a poor human rights record. It treats women abysmally. It uses torture, Sharia Law, no democracy and is highly corrupt.
With all the petro£$ from you filling up your cars, it built schools that taught the Taliban everything they know. You paid for the Taliban’s education.

I'm pretty sure we have discussed this before and my stance has not changed. I think its too soon to say one way or another.
Part of the problem is that the Taliban dont actually have control over all their troops, it does seem that some in the more urban areas are open to change but out in the more remote parts there are factions within the Taliban that havnt and wont.
I think it also depends on what you mean by change. Just because someone doesnt adopt Western values in their Country is not necessarily a bad thing. There is plenty wrong in the West and I always think its odd we should think they want to copy us.
So, as I said before time will tell. But dont expect a Western style of Government with Western riles and 'standards'. That wont happen.
