Matt Hancock bought 15% of shares in a firm where his sister is a Director and share holder.
A year after he became Minister for Health, the company fortuitously was give a £300,000 NHS contract!!!
No wonder he looks smug every teatime.

Theresa May £700,000 for speeches last year. She is out performing Blair at post PM cashing in.
£300,000 is hardly a big contract - about 1 double-decker bus.
In the BBC link it states the shares were gifted.
\\ A Department of Health source said Mr Hancock had discussed the fact he was to be gifted shares in the firm with civil servants before he accepted them.//
Blair has outdone everyone so far, net worth according to many sources is in the region of 60 million.

Emmie,
As corrected yesterday, £60 million is a grossly inflated guess.
Does it really matter if ex-prime ministers earn a lot of money? Would you turn down that sort of money if it were offered?
no it isn't, he has a massive property portfolio.
depends on what was offered. I just think whilst the constant barrage of criticism goes to the tories they should look at former Labour people like Blair, speaking engagements earn him thousands and thousands, quite why i don't get

better than embittered old twits like Corbyn, and his equally ineffective sucessor Sir Keir Starmer.
Hancock is a weasel and needs to go now.

What about all the brass he bunged towards his mate down the pub, you know the one he had a picture on the wall of and then hurriedly took down. The man needs investigating and if found guilty Jailed.

So what? We do not pay our PM's particularly well so its hardly surprising they go on to 'cash in'.

I have absolutely no problem with the dinner circuit, it is not tax payers money and if someone wants to pay to hear them spouting on then fine. Where we should draw the line is on dodgy dealings and lobbying - as per the latest one "Call me Dave". I have singled him out but he is not the only one from all parties.

No mention of Boris Gully?

Yes, currently it is them but all the others are in it up to their necks too. I would prefer we put party politics aside and drained the swamp across the board.
I will shake the money tree said Boris ,all you cronies have to do is stand underneath holding big buckets.

Forgetting the note left behind by Labour.

Gully, this is a cross party issue. People like you politicking it is why it never gets sorted. Lets unite and stop them all rather than be divided so they all ride roughshod over us.
well - er -
the whole family has an interest in health care
To be fair to Hancock, the contract was awarded by the Welsh NHS, not the English NHS.
would that matter TCL.
