I don't think that he is in a position to demand anything.
Demands!!!
How very dare he?
He's not an Admiral, though, is he? His promotion was deferred.
I think Andrew and Harry should both be in civilian clothes
was he ever and admiral? how does it work they just pick a military position and dress up?
Further down the article "he told his Mother and senior officials that he wished to attend the funeral as an Admiral"
Obviously it chimes with Mail readers who love to have their outrage buttons pressed on a daily basis, but ...

It doesn't mean that it's true.
last I heard he was a chopper pilot in 1982.
Harry Markle has form dressing up in uniforms mind.
TTT, he's a Vice-Admiral.
10:59, I don't see any outrage but I do think those attending the funeral should remember that it's not all about them.
Harry may not be able to wear his uniform, but he can wear his medals with pride in the knowledge he 'earned' them. Unlike the ceremonial bling his dad and bro will be sporting :-)
"was he ever and admiral? how does it work they just pick a military position and dress up?"

They probably have a dressing up chest - it's all BS anyway. Surprised they are not a complete laughing stock instead of being revered. Idi Amin was reviled for his pretentiousness.
Ken, are you forgetting Andrew's service in the Falklands?
both Charles and William served in the military so whatever medals they were awarded they should be able to wear.
Apologies, Ken. I read your remark as father and uncle.
Charles served in the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy from 1971 to 1976.

William did 7 1/2 years in the miltary, he also has the right to wear whatever medals he was awarded.
I don't think anyone with similar service to Andrew ever became a Vice Admiral.
