The Humiliation of Boris Johnson yesterday by Ed Miliband was classic .
He pointed out the lifetime of lies that Boris has told about the E/U.
Fat Tounged, Slack Jawed, Wide eyed, and Wobbling sat Boris on the front bench Alone. and faced down his inevitable humiliation. As miliband calmly laid out before him one by one,, each of Boris's many many lies,
that had made him PM, Boris could do nothing but shake his head, and force short grunts. It was classic , just like Geoffrey Howe Bringing down Thatcher.

Groan,not again Gulliver.
It was quite funny actually.

He’s quite right about Johnson and the Withdrawal Agreement.
ich //He’s quite right about Johnson and the Withdrawal Agreement.//
But Boris got his bill through parliament last night.
Ed Miliband? Was he the one who stabbed his own brother in the back? If it was I imagine he would do the same to Britain. How did the vote go by the way?
I bet gully has a life size manikin of BJ in his bedroom, such obsession.
Johnson has got his Bill through its first vote. The fun may start at the amendment stage.
Anyway, that is irrelevant to the point about Johnson and the Withdrawal Agreement.
The air was thick with irony.
I did wonder if the PM wished, as he sat there, that he’d sent Miliband’s opposite number after all.
"Boris laid out his stall calmly. The Bill, he said, should be supported by anyone who cared about ‘the sovereignty and integrity of our United Kingdom’." - well that's most of Labour out and a fair amount of ABers out!
The bacon butty will never die.
If you actually watched the exchange though, you’d have seen that Miliband made rather a kebab of the PM
The point about the integrity of the UK is quite simply bonkers.
Brexit threatens that per se.
Because of Brexit the UK is much more likely to splinter. That is not the fault of the EU
Actually it was the British voters who got the bill through as they gave The Tory’s such a number of seats . I’ve said it afore I’ve said it in Brighton .
Not what I saw ich, he looked like a snotty 6th former taking on the headmaster in an inner city comprehensive debating club. BJ let him spit bile for 10 mins then cut his head off with the single coherent sentence, much like TGL once did to Tony Benn.
weecalf, The phrase is "...as I said at the Brighton conference" - Harold Wilson the 3rd and last Labour leader to win an election.
Agree with you totally gulliver1
Did Harold actually say "...as I said at the Brighton conference" or is it Mike Yarwood's words becoming immortalised?

Togo 09.35, Don't know much about back stabbing , but Miliband made Johnson look a right Idiot to his Face, Boris looked like a fish out of water.
It wasn’t like Howe and Thatcher though.
The force of that was Sir Geoffrey’s manner and reputation. He was a great politician masterfully fingering the stiletto through his sheep’s coat to fell a once-powerful Prime Minister.
What happened yesterday was a failed ex-Opposition leader pinning a failing PM to the deck. All round pathetic
Gulliver, read my link to see who was wobbling.

After Milibands speech it was Ian Blackfords turn. but Boris was not hanging about to be humiliated again .
Boris had done a runner, he could not bear to hear the truth , twice in one day. Poor little Boris , needs to grow a pair
I like the idea of you comparing Ed Miliband and Geoffrey Howe. The electorate didn't like Ed enough to give him the job of PM and Geoffrey was the most disliked person in the place he was born.
