That said, the world is full of ‘isms’ and the like. Think of your own pet ‘ism’, Allen…. you know, your utter distain for people you don’t know but nevertheless perceive to be on the opposite side of the political spectrum to yourself. That appears to induce a considerable outpouring of unfathomable vitriol. Funny old thing is human nature.

The article says they had a report there were concerns over how the car was being driven.
Whilst I guess there IS a racist element to it London has more stop & searches (of all ethnicities) than anywhere else and also has more black residents than anywhere else in the UK. So black people are more likely to be stopped there.

Unfortunately the innocent are sometimes inconvenienced, but if experience teaches that purveyors of drugs, for example, are very often found within a specific section of the community it makes sense to seek them out there. Similarly, it makes sense to look for Islamic extremists among Muslim communities. Hardly rocket science.
