I meant that I don't know whether I would have got as agitated because that precise situation hasn't happened to me - I doubt I would have screamed, I rarely scream.

Yes, I have been in a car stopped by the Police, more than once - one car we had in the eighties turned out to be linked to previous criminal activity - after the second stop it went to auction 2 days later. Wasn't fair to sell on the problem to one of our customers.many of who were also friends.

Of course it doesn't, Naomi. But I can well understand anyone getting a tad miffed when it happens time and again. And, if they have stopped him so many times, then surely they will know by now that he is not a drug dealer?
Mamya; my brother bought a 2nd hand car a good few years back and was puzzled by the number of police stops he was getting. Then he discovered that the previous owner had been a local crim and that the vehicle was 'belled up', as we say. Like you, he re-sold the car pronto.

Isn’t it odd how the same story can provoke two such opposing views.

Me (and a few sensitive others) see two decent young Londoners fed up with being done for DWB-type offences.

Others (whose politics are undeclared but on whose right-wing boneheadedness I’d venture a small stake) see the boys in blue doing their job and keeping the scum off the streets.

And never the twain shall meet.
