My foot is going through the tele and I'm sending the BBC the bill.
Why has it taken them so long?
sounds a lot.
33 million a year over 3 years (roughly) and starting from April next year doesn't smack of treating the perceived matter with any urgency.

Hope they employ the folks who are good at their jobs and not just a box-ticking exercise.
You would hope so, Albs, but there does seem to be some perception on AB, that anyone hired who is not Male and white, has to be a box tick. There must be thousands of people able to fulfil most jobs perfectly well, so just because a black person is chosen, it doesn't automatically mean a white man has been "jumped over". Maybe they were equally good, but more people need to be represented overall, or nothing changes. As we've seen xx
Perlease!

That way of thinking is almost a dictionary definition of White Privilege.

Of course, as the brave and the bold of AB, have repeatedly told us that white privilege is a fallacy, I'm clearly mistaken.

You do have to wonder why they don't spend some of our money on encrypting their output so that people who haven't paid the licence fee can't access their output. Just like all the other pay to view organisations do. Just imagine how much more income they would get if every one who wanted to watch their programmes were made to pay.
Clearly, mozz....
It's getting to the point where the Beeb will have to consider embracing commercial television and scrapping the license fee.
Togo, now we have Netflix, Prime, YouTube etc etc, I don't think they are anywhere near as popular nowadays as they used to be.
Probably guaranteed even worse programmes from the Aunty....

This was on today, a series of 4. Thats enough surely or should I self flagillate more?

Self-flagellate as much as you like- if you think it's your fault...
Don't the BBC have enough BAMEs?
News readers and reporters in particular.
BAMEs popping up in medaevil dramas?
Next thin, it will be AB Moderators - who are trying to allot the Blame
Its my skin tone thats at fault & I cant help that.
Is that a new series from David Olusoga?

I recall watching the same named series a good few years ago after he wrote his book.

Why does it engender guilt in you?

I have black family and I don't feel that way.
the Windrush fund is paying out, tambo....get your claim in quick - I have, mine being based on those damn Vikings invading these fair shores.
Don't be surprised, Theland, the BBC has just shown the RSC's Hamlet with a black actor in the title role:
