Makes you wonder how bad a sinner has to be before a man of the cloth assigns them to the fiery depths.. Well the 'Lord loves a sinner'as they are wont to preach.
I do not have the advantage of seeing the report of the autopsy on Floyd so I cannot say what was his underlying medical condition and what was the cause of death.
The police officer did not plan to kill Floyd.
How do you know that sqad? Police autopsy states heart complications independent autopsy states asphyxiation

When you justify it by claiming the police knew him, and they knew his violent criminal past, then you are invalidating the defence that the death was accidental.

You are saying he was targeted, the force used was right, and that the death was inevitable sooner or later.

I said no such thing. Stop twisting my comments.
How do i know what.... Martin?
//The police officer did not plan to kill Floyd//
Martin..... I don't know for sure, only the accused might know that and is just my opinion.
Well, Mr Floyd had a history of violence. They shouldn't have bothered arresting him then, may as well have stuck a bullet in his brain. Would've been quicker and less painful for Mr Floyd, and still appeased all the morons defending his murder.

He wasn't murdered, that is up to the courts to determine.
I don't think anyone is defending murder but that is still for a jury to decide. I believe Mr Floyd was found to have various narcotics in his blood at the autopsy . They were not those that are medically prescribed either. They are the sort he has previous form for dealing illegally. They are the evidence that gets swallowed quickly to avoid police discovering them . There could be a few other health reasons that precipitated his demise and we know only what we read.Let the ME and judge decide.
No, not murdered Sparkles. He had a heart attack, completely unrelated to his arrest, while the brave copper gently caressed his neck with his knee.
Sparklykid,

He is what you have said...

// I do suspect that he may have been known by the officers. // = He was targeted.

// In view of his violent past perhaps the restraint was somewhat justified. // = the force used was right

// I have no doubt his violent history will be a consideration at a trial // = the death was inevitable sooner or later.
Floyd was known to the officer. That is common knowledge if you care to look. Floyd worked in 'private security'. God knows how he was allowed or licenced to do that after a conviction for armed robbery. Police Officers in the states are allowed to moonlight. I understood they worked together at one time, probably as door managers or 'bouncers'

Wrong gromit, you have added words I did not use.
// George Floyd moved to Minneapolis in 2014 for a fresh start after being released from prison in Houston, Texas following an arrest for aggravated robbery
Floyd had turned his life around but died on Monday after a white officer knelt on his neck while arresting him for allegedly paying with a fake $20 bill
None of the officers could have been aware of Floyd's more than a decade-old criminal history at the time of the arrest
The 46-year-old had left behind his past in Houston after being released from prison stemming from a 2007 robbery
He plead guilty to entering a woman’s home, pointing a gun at her stomach and searching the home for drugs and money, according to court records
Floyd was sentenced to 10 months in jail for having less than one gram of cocaine in a December 2005 arrest
He had previously been sentenced to eight months for the same offense, stemming from an October 2002 arrest
Floyd was arrested in 2002 for criminal trespassing and served 30 days in jail
He had another stint for a theft in August 1998

Shameful twisting what I ACTUALLY wrote.
Well, That's all right then. He had a bit of form. Got what he deserved.
People learn from their mistakes (some at least) and change their ways.
//He wasn't murdered, that is up to the courts to determine.//

Why bother with the courts? It seems you have decided that Floyd wasn't murdered.

Second thing, if it does go to trial, and a guilty verdict is reached, I wonder how many folk here will be decrying it as a kangeroo court, pandering to leftist media, scapegoatism, or some other such BS?
//Shameful twisting what I ACTUALLY wrote.//

Then please explain what you really meant, if Gromit's interpretation is incorrect.
