God help the UK if Corbyn got in.We only have Trident as a deterrent and he would probably flog it to his pals in Hamas. This country seriously requires a logistics upgrade. No serious armoured Regiments,Parachute Brigades, Naval attack ships, depleted RAF squadrons.

Will do.
look forward to it
When it comes to nukes, it really doesn't matter if we have them or not. In the event of a nuclear war we'd all die anyway. At least not having them makes us a slightly less conspicuous target.
If Labour win the election it will all be irrelevant anyway. Corbyn wouldn't defend this country against an aggressor - he's even confessed that he wouldn't jump at the chance to take out the leader of IS.
I hope Mozz is right, who wants to linger behind after a nuclear attack. Total oblivion would be best. Cheery for early morning, aren't I ??
hereIam, I wrote a long piece last night in defence of you ... only to find when I tried to post it the thread closed.

So frustrating and yet another waste of time.

Sorry for the interruption, Retrocop.
Every country has limited budget to spend. Needs to be remembered that we are in NATO so any (God forbid) major conflict would see us alongside allies. Smaller conflicts we've proved we can cope with. No reason to believe we still can't. And for sure, when times are better, we'll build up a better defense. No need to panic.
Just checked that thread naomi, it seems aog asked for it to be closed. There is a removed answer, is that yours ? I didn't see it last evening and I always leave the site round about sixish. Thank you very much for defending me.

Sorry retro.
Not mine, hereIam. I didn't get a chance to post mine.
Oh sorry naomi, I see you couldn't post it because the thread was already closed.
I defended you because right's right - and you were right.
As already mentioned, the armed forces of this country have been whittled away to just a small force, by successive governments. As for Trident, I read somewhere it would have nothing like the destructive force of some Russian weapons, so whilst we are firing pea shooters and throwing crumpets, they will be blasting us away. Good innit? :o)
Trident is and will be a deterrent, it needs to be recognised as such, we have a healthy relationship with our allies and they have like USA far bigger weapons at their disposal.
don't worry retro, EC has the chance of a Labour majority as 1%

Now there is an 11% chance of NOC and that could possibly result in a coalition with Labour so I'd say there is at best a 12% chance of Agent Cob getting into no 10.
