Doubt candles would achieve much. I'm against the death penalty regardless where in the world. But these knew the risks and committed the crime anyway. A plea from the Foreign Office may be in order, but it's out of our hands to ensure a long gaol sentence instead.

I do not agree with capital punishment for any crime but I would be fine with 50 years in prison. After all 2 crimes have been committed...the heroin smuggling and sheer unadulterated moronic stupidity.

If they had been arrested here 3T they would already be back on the streets of Huddersfield, identity not disclosed, names not given....."pending further enquiries" and woe betide anyone who did identify them and old bill would be flogging the horse.
