Where as Tom Watson is far from a moderate he is compared to the extremists that have infested labour. I can see why they want him out, must be an unwelcome voice of reason!

‘he found out about the move while having a meal at a Chinese restaurant in Manchester on Friday night‘

That must have spoilt his prawn balls.
He could always join the LibDems.
Make Changes to oust your enemies at your peril.

A change now to get your way will undoubtedly come back and bite you 8n the bum at some point.

But momentum is Labours storm troopers and they see nothing wrong with strong arm tactics.

Labour pretending to be nice and kind on the surface now have Momentum out in the open so it should be no surprise to anyone what Labour is all about now.
//it should be no surprise to anyone what Labour is all about now. //

This in denial will call it fake news.

This from Tony Blair.

*Those, not 'this'.

those in denial still vote Labour!
I don't think Corbyn himself would have wanted this, but it's a testament to his dubious leadership skills that, so far, he hasn't spoken out to condemn it that I've seen.
Appalling.
Momentum seem to have succeeded where Militant failed. Although I had no time for Kinnock he at least purged the party of extremists.
"Mr Watson has urged Labour to "unequivocally back remain""

Unsurprised they want him out then. Desperately trying to ensure Labour remains in opposition, why wouldn't they want him shunted aside ? Following his demand they'd gain few if any extra votes, but a fair number who are still supporting the party they want Labour to be, might just give them a miss next election instead.
If Labour had a decent leader they’d be ahead in the polls.
But these people are driven by ideology and spite. Mind you that sounds a bit like the current government too :-)
They probably saw Boris kicking all and sundry out and thought it must be the in thing to do.
it's said that 80% of the delegates at this year's conference are Momentum members - so they'll likely get their way.
Is hard to see how effectively sacking Tom Watson can be a vote winner for them. Momentum is strongly anti Brexit so they plainly aren’t doing it because of his Brexit stance. They don’t like him diverging from the party policy of fudge and dodge on they issue and probably most of all because he refuses to sing from the leader’s hymn sheet on a lot of things.
he survives to fight another day...…

would any aber actually vote labour in general election, with corbyn at the helm, some may despise the torys, but corbyn would ruin the country.
Question Author
sadly, fender, according to the poll on the home page, 21 would. I know gulliver would, as would 10cs
Fender When next election comes around I know who I will not be voting for. Conservatives after their handling of brexit, and their party in disarray. Nor Labour if Corbyn is still in charge.
Corbyn steps in just in time to save the party's reputation from total collapse, but it's a dubious fudge.
All things considered I think maybe Tom should have stuck to the golf.
