May be he will demonstrate he is a whole lot smarter then the naysayers give him credit for. I hope my large dose of shadenfreud is served cold.
Could Herr Junker actually be sitting up and taking notice at last. Let's see.. Seems like Mr Junker has put his bottle away for the time being.

Been wanting to ask for yonks. I know a good bit of the old rhyming cockney but please put me out of my misery. What's April rhyme with me old china? Keep it clean if you can. Snowflakes haven't been tucked up yet. :-)
April in Paris - arris
April fool retro....tool.
ahh it's a complex one that, but as you ask it's one of the best and rarest. April - April in Paris, arris, aristottle, bottle, bottle and glass...
the other one is plaster, as in plaster of paris, etc....
I lie corrected.

There you go. Two conflicting answers.
About 7 years ago I was walking along a Beach in
Calahonda with a Anglo Indian friend of mine. He is brown as a berry and thinks himself a cockney. We passed two local beach casters and he asked, "Hey Pedro, caught any plates and dishes?" Even I cringed at that. :-)

Just a question TTT. If Boris could negotiate a deal that would benefit both the EU and the UK, would you prefer that to a No Deal, or would you rather have a No Deal, purely so the EU don't benefit, even if it puts the UK on shakier ground?
Mozz71, now that is the land of nowhere.

At this point the EU will not negotiate a deal that is mutually beneficial to both parties. They simply can’t or perhaps more to the point won’t. They have not, as far as I have observed, had the slightest intention of making this split easy or amicable.

At this point a truly mutually beneficial deal is not going to happen. Boris will come back with a tinkered May Deal and say how wonderful it is. Accept it or no deal.

mozz: "Just a question TTT. If Boris could negotiate a deal that would benefit both the EUSSR and the UK, would you prefer that to a No Deal, or would you rather have a No Deal, purely so the EU don't benefit, even if it puts the UK on shakier ground? " - that's a big IF but yes. The reason I push for no deal is that the EUSSR will never agree to anything so useful so I'd be wary of any deal they offer because their motives are not the same as ours. They want to heap humiliation on us with the aid of their 5th column collaborators to deter other states from attempting what we are. The only safe clean way is no deal and firefight the issues. We can start negotiating for real with anyone, even the EUSSR on 1st Nov, no deal is the only "deal" that means we can actually do a deal.
The EU are well know for 11:59:59 merchants.

However they won’t give much ground and what they do give ground on will be a backhanded give.

I honestly think it’s too late to get a proper proper deal.
