No, it isnt. You say nothing to the filth until you have spoken at length to your brief and in my experience they will tell you to say no comment too.

What has that got to do with trusting a copper when arrested?

Anyway, not much chance of getting help from the Police Farce these days.
Young you obviously have more experience with the police than I have. But surely if you have nothing to hide why not talk or do no comment interview?
I have found the Police where very helpfull when on the one occasion I needed there assistance.
I've got to say, if the police arrested me and asked if I'd murdered the old lady next door (and I hadn't), I'd probably be inclined to say 'No', rather than 'No comment'.
^That seems the more sensible thing to do.
