the No Deal Alliance have met and issued a statement.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49483374

Opposition MPs have agreed to try to block a no-deal Brexit by passing legislation in Parliament.

just so we're all clear - is legislation passed in the UK parliament binding on the EU? If messrs Tusk and Juncker say "non", can Mr Corbyn say "yeh but - act of parliament"?

what happens then?

The useless quislings who have no idea how to get a deal.

Except of course most of them dont want a deal either, unless it is one that ties us permanently to the EU gravy train.

COB is playing a dangerous game, he seems to have missed that many of his core voters voted leave and MP's in those areas are likely to loose their seats.
Everyone can stop moaning about coups by Corbyn now
Do you think the MPs who are blocking it with an act of Parliament would be doing so if the EU could override it?
No doubt Bercow will be helping them.

there's only one deal, and that's been voted down comprehensively. the EU won't renegotiate. if the opposition's act says "no to no deal", exactly where can the government go?
It’s worth repeating for the zillionth time:
There is one deal. Parliament doesn’t like it. No one else Leave or Remain, Johnson or Corbyn, can do any other deal. So we either leave via that deal, or no deal, or don’t leave at all.
Many feel the second option would be very bad. And they want to stop it. That’s what this is about. Bringing down the govt was looking increasingly like a very bad way of trying to do it, so I’m glad that’s off the agenda:
You haven’t really answered my question, mush. Why would MPs be putting effort into something which had no chance?
The Remain shower blitzkrieged us with their MSM partners this morning in a well coordinated attack.
Their latest plan-extend A50.
Doubt the EU would object despite their previous 'stance'.

yes but to what end? there's only one deal (discredited) and the EU won't renegotiate. what would an extension achieve? the government won't be calling another referendum....
The two obvious problems with this are that parliament numbered to be able to control business and then agree on ... something. Which latter thing to date they’ve not been able to do.
I don’t know how straightforward or not invoking standard order 24 is, but I actually can’t think of a satisfactory course after that that doesn’t involve putting the existing deal to a referendum.
The government won’t call a referendum but parliament might. Tho I’m not holding my breath on that.
It gives them more time to thwart democracy and the EU keep collecting our money.
Win, win for the anti-British.
Question Author
if you hold your breath, you'll be doing it for a long time - it'll take getting on for 6 months to set up, assuming there is agreement (hahaha) on the wording of the question. and what happens if the electorate (again) provide the wrong answer?
Nigel is getting into bed with Boris. That should spike any GE nonsense from Remainers
//Nigel is getting into bed with Boris//

That's the stuff of nightmares.
//Win, win for the anti-British.//

You know, being a remained doesn't make you anti-British. Most remainers genuinely believe that remaining in the EU is what is best for the country.

Only “most”? Surely it should be “all”. Unless they are deliberately trying to undermine the UK’s future. I should think that all Leavers believe the contrary to be true and since their view prevailed in the referendum that should be that.

As I said yesterday, those who want to outlaw a No Deal exit might just as well come clean and say they want no exit at all. Taking No Deal off the table amounts to one and the same because all the EU has to do is to stick with its totally unacceptable offer and we cannot leave. I still have no confidence that the new Prime Minister will succeed in his quest to get this ridiculous nonsense concluded but I wish him well, whatever option he chooses to see it through.
//Only “most”? Surely it should be “all”.//

I would hope it is all, but I'm not arrogant enough to talk for all remain voters.

I've got to the point where even though I'm a remainer, I now think that we need to leave. I do think no deal is playing with fire, so another extension and hopefully a resumption in negotiations is our best bet.

I know a lot of leavers are demanding we leave whatever, but is an extra six months really worth (potentially) sacrificing the UK's economic stability over?
right let's have butchers shall we:
- Caroline (MAABOF) Lucas: Women only cabinet
- Jo (MAABOF) Swinson: lets put Misadrist Harmen or Quisling Clarke into No 10
- Jeremy, (terrorist friend, Agent Cob, hard line anti semitic communist) Corbyn
- Ian ( I can only talk about Scotland) Blackford
What can go wrong? PMSL, Boris will swipe that lot like a bear tearing the face off a pigmy.
