The fat lady sang yesterday when parliament voted to leave on 31st January. We are leaving with or without the blessing of the EU.
16:36 Sat 21st Dec 2019
He can block what he likes. Come 31st Jan we leave and if there is still an implementation period needed we fully exit Dec 2020.

I think is, from what I have read and listened to over the years, that we unilaterally offered a better deal to EU citizens in the UK than the EU did for UK citizens in the EU.

They're never gonna let us leave, are they ??
It’s not a matter of letting us. We can just leave. The only reason not to is simply Remainers and super soft brexiters blocking it somehow.

As has been said numerous times, if they want a hard border they can implement it and it will be on their head the consequences.
Fine. Sabre rattle as much as they like. We're still out end of Jan, Deal or No Deal.
and only yesterday oberleutenant verhofstadt was saying they may have to "kick" Poland out...yeah right matey boy...of course
i think hes drinking more than Juncket....they dont want anybody to leave, they want to enslave every single nation that they have decided should be theirs to rule and dictate to...really need to show him and the rest of the jackbooted fools the the middle digit
I’m worried about my Lithuanian daughter-in-law. Could she be sent back?
One senses that Boris isn’t keen on his own deal, and would be happy with a fast hard Brexit instead.
It was after all, the May deal with tippex. negotiated under an oppressive deadline.
Werent quite a few of the dads of the present leaders of the EU members of Hitlers gang? No wonder they hate us Brits.
A very poor deployment of Godwins Law. Because the claim is 13ollocks.
But blocking the deal (which isn’t going to happen) would not stop the UK leaving.
The EU had never been able to stop the UK leaving. That presumably is why Article 50 is as it is.
In fact a no deal scenario would surely make it worse for EU citizens?
Or is something being missed.
Not up to them any more. This is what they never have understood. We are leaving, with or without a deal. They can't stop us now.

Rattles and prams. (P.S. Doesn't Verhofstad remind you visually of Hitler? If I were him, I'd change my hair-do.)
// I’m worried about my Lithuanian daughter-in-law. Could she be sent back?//
we dont know as we dont know what they are planning
Common sense will prevail; neither side would dare put citizens, either EU in UK, or UK in EU in jeopardy, & for once Verhofstadt is right to raise the issue, which has already been understood even by T. May's deal, though it isn't written in stone as yet & should be ruled out as a 'bargaining chip' by Boris asap, which I'm sure he will.

She tried to get British citizenship but it was ridiculous. Questions about Kings, Queens and cricket and god knows what. Most of which I (a native Brit) wouldn’t know the answer to. She’s buying a house with my son so they’d better not deport her.

Thanks, Brexiters :(((
Cloverjo //Lithuania is a member of the European Union, apart from that & above all, she appears to be married to a British citizen, so as long as she wants to remain in the UK, use the NHS & all social services, she can do so. I doubt though that in the future other members of her Lithuanian family & friends will be able to freely enter the UK & do similarly, (which is, to a large part, what Brexit was about).
The solution to this problem of European/UK citizens rights (particularly in relation to free movement of persons) is that we should agree that anyone born before Brexit within the European union, has the right to reside in any European country (including the UK) as birthright.

There would then be no issue as to who does and who does not have these rights.
I do wish people would stop prattling on, as though it's smart or knowledgeable, about 'Godwin's Law' every time Hitler or the Nazis are mentioned. Godwin's Law is neither smart nor knowledgeable - it's abject nonsense.
the EUSSR are desperate to save their house of cards, that's all.
It's good to see Ver Haff Schnott squirming.
"Godwin's Law is neither smart nor knowledgeable - it's abject nonsense."

Same for bringing up Hitler and the Nazis at every drop of a hat!
