Well, they found her body and so far the Post Morte is inconclusive.

Post Mortem
Do you have access to the news at all? Sadly, her body was found on Monday.
So she snuck out, got lost and died of a rupture caused by starvation? I'm glad she wasn't abused or hurt by a third party, but that's a grim ending.
Strange that it is reported that she was found naked, yet was wearing a nightdress when she went to bed.
aog, she had severe learning difficulties.
If hypothermia was involved, being found naked is by no means unusual in cases like this.
The mind tricks people into thinking they are too warm, and they strip their clothing off.
I agree with AOG.......naked....even barefooted.
Duodenal ulcer in a girl aged 15 years old ????? possibly due to starvation? and it ruptured ???

I suppose anything might happen in medicine, but these series of events seem to be pushing speculation to the limit.

BUT.....if that was the result of the post mortem.
Pete.

Hypothermia in Malaysia?
sqad, I agree it does sound odd ... but as you say, it's the result of the post mortem ...
I find it odd a girl with learning difficulties in a foreign location would climb out of her hotel window, wander into the forest, manage to find a clean water supply but die of starvation.

The volunteers had searched the area she was originally found in.

They got tipped off that she was there.. a mile into the thick jungle, across waterfalls and streams..

Yeah she must of just sleep walked for a week????

Makes zero sense.
AOG, for clarity her parents have said she was wearing her underwear not nightdress.
Given that her mother was so sure she would not have gone off on her own I'd like to hear what she has to say about the results of the PM.
Spath, why are you assuming her thought processes would have been rational and sensible? She had severe learning difficulties.
I do believe the p/m result for Nora is a bit too simplistic for some abers. They appear to have their own version of events .
^^^^ it is called "inquiring minds."
Spath, you seem to have latched onto the phrase 'tipped off' and made it suspicious.

From an earlier rather stilted interpreter.

//We (the searchers) were progressing through the area, mist were looking to the right. A member of the team looked to the left and saw something lay across and alerted the others.

We approached and were 10/12 feet away, saw the body and knew not to touch, we also knew we were not to take photographs.//

The above is my paraphrasing as I can't find the piece just now but is what she said.
Sqad // it is called "inquiring minds."//
Some might call it speculation.
