So the HOQ will reject the deal, they'll agree to another vote which means they'll have to withdraw A50 and wallop we are shackled to the EUSSR forever. I just wich they'd been honest from the start. You can have the referendum but we'll only accept remain. What a shower of treacherous quislings.

Jim, the "consensus" is that we want to leave. And not because we believed it was "simplest". That isn't always the answer.
FWIW, in case I was included in a comment above, I don't "disrespect" you- or anyone- and I hope it didn't come across that way. Many people have similar views to you and obviously there is disagreement, I just (unfairly maybe) expect more rationality from you. You are too intelligent to believe some of the things you post, so it does come across sometimes that you think we are stupid enough to believe it.
I think you said something about my having lost credibility before. I am afraid I can't remember the exact quote now. If I've misrepresented you then I apologise. But I do believe in what I write. If people can demonstrate it, to my satisfaction, to be rubbish then I'll concede your point, but I wouldn't see a point in deliberately offering up opinions as your own when you know them to be baseless. I have tried to explain the rationale behind my views. That's all I can do.
You haven't, Jim. Not just this subject, but it isn't your views themselves but insincerity or twisting things which makes me wary. Not that you do or should care, just an explanation x
Well I disagree that I am twisting anything, and I am sincere in my opinions. I don't know what else to say about that. I expect it's because we're just too far apart on this that it's hard to appreciate each other's reasoning.
Maybe so x I think of you as a scientist/ mathematician type person and then expect scientific/ rational type answers. Which, I guess, is not fair really xx
Pixie, you have to take into account that Jim has a blinkered allegiance to the EU.
Apparently so, but it isn't just this subject. Just surprises me, that's all xx
“Stop treating intelligent people like fools”
...
I hope Jim is think of Kipling.
You know the bit “If you can keep your head ...”

This is one of the most surreal exchanges I’ve read even here ...
"blinkered allegiance" is an odd way of putting it.

But if you lot can only play the man, rather than the ball, that's your lookout rather than mine.
// I think you said something about my having lost credibility before.// Jimbo

no you are perfectly credible within the normal meaning of the word

but this is AB so God know what it means here. I recollect that someone said - "Jimi you just arent logical" and it always makes me laugh to think of it

but ho hum dont take any of this too seriously

May is gonna go - or MAY go ! according to the latest news - like a minute ago ....
Itch - surreal exchanges

surrealer and surrealer - said Alice.

or of all the surreal things.... ( Casablanca 1940)

the final betrayal arrives from The Sadge apparently
he is going to see the prime minister ( or MAY see the PM) and tell her to go - they all say.- What does the header mean by the way - I know that poster wants to Brexit. Is that all I need to know?
Pixie: I always try to think of everything scientifically if I can. That doesn't mean I always succeed. But what bothers me the most is that you, Naomi, danny, etc, keep asserting that I'm blinkered, or irrational, or going for "Jim Speak" -- but rarely seem to take the effort to explain why. I would dearly love to be shown as wrong when it comes to Brexit, assuming that it ever happens at all, and, in as much as it's possible to talk about Brexit and the EU these days without people falling out within five seconds, I hope that we can continue to talk about it and put across our different views without going after each other's personality or style. But I believe in my arguments, and until you can destroy them for their substance rather than their style then I will continue to put them across.
// I think of you as a mathematician and so I expect scientific/ rational type answers. //

"O mr Russell (*) - your ideas just arent logical !" - Lady Cunard 1920

(*) the Mr Russell here was - Bertrand Russell the famous philosopher and mathematician

yeah yeah I know reader it has all been said before
but this is a Brexit thread ( I think ) so it has ALL been said before many many times
Jimi - have a glass of sweet sherry or a pink gin or something -
none of this can remotely be said to be 'serious'

May is going apparently
She’s gone!
Still there lol
// // We've heard it all before from you, Jim...many times. It still doesn't wash. //

O god this is a bit surreal - news flash, 1 + 1 = 2
all day every day folks !

and which Brexiter said - if you watch the Titanic film a hundred times - the ship sinks every time

Jeez you have had a lucky escape Jim
can you imagine going into a classroom - and saying
1 + 1 = 2 folks ,
and someone saying
oo sir, we had that crap yesterday and you know we all know it isnt true !

No itch - Nigh is still posting at full blast ! ter-daaah!
