How will we notice? Obviously they weren't at the socialist training lecture when they mentioned that you actually have to do something that people need before withdrawing it has an effect! Gawd help us is this is the next generation! I think mankind has peaked!

Interesting. Zacs considers protest ineffective.
Makes one wonder why pressure groups try it then.
School / college, same action, same error.
Where did I say that? I said protest is ineffective when it doesn't disrupt anything because its done in the person's own time.

Would you like a ladder to get out of that hole you're digging, OG?
An excellent explanation, OG.
Excellent, apart from the fact that he's got the basics of why people strike completely wrong!
The students are protesting. You state "Indeed. Like it not being very effective if you do it in your own time!".

Unsure why you can't follow but maybe take a break, have a nap, or something. Things seem to be confusing you at present.
its a pupils obligation to go to school else they will be in trouble. Therefor, refusing to go to school is in fact striking. Why has the discussion descended into definition of a strike? Is it because TTT in the OP implies no one needs kids at school? I think we do to be honest.
Act now or my snowflake generation might melt
OG, I'd seriously suggest that you read through your posts before clicking 'submit'. Not only to avoid annoying us all with your capitalised spellign(sp) corrections, but to ensure you're actually making sense.

Not being 'very effective' is completely different to being 'ineffective', which I never said.
Tit for tat
I'll be the tat.
Well i like tits
For the umpteenth time, needed because I can see it doesn't sink in. I do read through my posts many times, correcting with a much good humour (which is very little to be honest) the differences between the words I typed and those that show on the screen. When it seems right I post. It doesn't help continually suggesting doing what you know I already do. If you don't like corrections in a separate post, try convincing the owner to add an edit facility.

And since I always make sense, which is vastly more than some can claim, your further suggestion isn't helpful either.

I point out that stating something is not being very effective is a perfectly reasonable substitute for saying it's not effective enough, or in other words being ineffective. If that's all you're complaining of I'd still suggest that you take a nap. Things seem to be getting to you, and you're trying to cope by taking out your bad humour on me.
Let's hope that people in positions of power do something about it. Good that it's spreading across the world, though.
"How will we notice?"  are you not talking about it?
Oh dear, perhaps if they took Geography lessons instead they might get why climate changes.

On the other hand with right on liberal teaching maybe not.

‘I point out that stating something is not being very effective is a perfectly reasonable substitute for saying it's not effective enough, or in other words being ineffective’

Well, if you’d just said that in the first place!

(We’d all still be as confused as we are now).
Judging from most AB posts on climate change, these kids are probably better-read in it than most on here. I shouldn't be too eager to dismiss them.
//Let's hope that people in positions of power do something about it.//

I guess that means world leaders but, realistically, what are they expected to do? Ground flights, ban cars and lorries, ban the production of plastics, ban industry? No one wants to relinquish a modern lifestyle, including the kids who are being encouraged to protest, so voicing the notion that it is within the power of human beings to reverse global warming (much of which is a natural process anyway) is merely paying lip service to a popular but nonsensical hobbyhorse.
