danny, I thought you leave voters were convinced that Germany was at the helm of the EU? You’re always telling us that. Surely they have some influence?
Zacs, // So why are they intransigent in discussions?//

Intransigence: refusal to change one's views or to agree about something.

Hardly facilitating! It’s not rocket science!
ZM. the thoughts of "you leave voters" are not always my thoughts.
Eh? Yes, I’m aware of what the word means, ‘swhy I used it me dear.

Same question (which you refuse to be answering):
If they EU are bothered about our leaving, why are they not compromising.

(I think you’d better get ready to use excuse 2b, N ‘anyway I’ve got to pop out now’)
danny, I can find multiple examples of leave voters citing Germany as the chief influencers on EU policy (‘they’re now leaders of Europe after losing the war’ yadda yadda yadda.....you know the kind of thing).

Zacs, there is no excuse 2b, nor even a 2a. Why are they not compromising? Because they have people like you – and Mrs May – caught like frightened rabbits in headlights – and they know it. Gumption is in short supply. Have a nice day.
Ahhhh, excuse 3d ‘have a nice day’. Not seen that one in a while.

So, if I’ve got this right, the EU are desperate for us not to leave but, because a large proportion of the those who voted, voted remain, they think they can bluff?

Doesn’t really sound like the actions of a tyrannical overlord does it?

If you are right of course, there will be a last minute deal. Which will P off a large number of leave voters who want a no deal.
I wished you a nice day because you said you were going, Zacs. Your confusion doesn’t end with the EU’s intentions it seems.
The EU elite are concerned but a combination of needing us on their terms so they can stay in control, and refusing to lose face by backing down, coupled with the hope that by not compromising they may encourage the mice in the HoC to opt to accept the terms in that so called deal, or even betray the referendum result and not leave, results in their lack of compromise. They aren't concerned enough to swallow their pride and negotiate properly.
Erm, no I didn’t.
OG, your propensity for writing cobblers has just gained a new top 5 entry.
Even though the EU/Germany need our cash/trade the EU will play it as they always have and will I suspect at one second to midnight offer a concession that amounts to practically NOTHING for the UK in any real sense of the word and our parliment will be so desperate they will accept.

We have one of the weakest parliaments I have ever seen.

And your ability to ask obvious questions and use mockery when given the answer remains unabated.
Yes you did. At 09.45: ‘anyway I’ve got to pop out now’
That^ to zacs.
Well, my obvious question doesn’t seem to have received any worthy answers, OG. Your attempt looked like a dogs breakfast of an attempt to wriggle out of answering it.
I was anticipating your excuse 2b, N. Hence it being in quotes. Have another coffee, a little stroll in the fresh air and come back to the debate refreshed.
You're struggling again, zacs. ;o)
The only person struggling is yourself in giving me some factual examples of the EU being scared of us leaving, N.
