Who to believe. Sky News said this afternoon there was a Protection Officer in the car (female) but in the link posted by DD @ 19.24 it says there wasn't.
To Spath for info.
In November 2018, there were 5.3 million over-70s with full driving licences in Britain, according to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.
There were 11,245 people involved in road traffic accidents where the driver was in that age group - a rate of two per 1,000 licence holders.
For Britain's 2.8 million drivers aged 17 to 24, the rate was more than four times as high, at nine per 1,000.

Oh don't confuse Spath with facts fgs.
... why not, he confused me!
nothing on Sky's website about that at the moment, ladybirder, and a lot insisting that he was on his own. Which is quite interesting.
Send him to the Bloody Tower ," Off with his head"
Don't know if it's been mentioned, there was a 9 month baby boy in the Kia that was in collision with Price Phillips car.

A nine-month-old baby boy was also in the car but was uninjured, police said.

gulliver - spath or Philip?
Very interesting Jno. The guy who helped him never said anything about anyone else in the car either.
Me brains fell out
Not to difficult to flip a Range Rover if a small car runs into side of it and runs underneath it.
I agree, TonyV. It’s centre of gravity is so low.
An old man is involved in a car crash, no one injured. It’s headlines on the news at 10 pm. What is wrong with people .
Yes, can't imagine why it would be on the news, can you Anne?
Because his name is Prince Philip and he is who he is, Anne.
“Open and shut case.”

Except…..

The CPS operates a two-part test when considering whether or not to prosecute. Step One is to examine whether there is sufficient evidence to support a reasonable chance of a conviction. Step Two is to consider whether it is in “the public interest” to do so. That aspect of this matter will not be considered by a junior CPS lawyer (as would any other allegation of careless driving). It will be overseen by a senior bod who will decide whether it is in the public interest to prosecute the Queen’s Consort for a minor traffic offence which would carry, at most (looking at the sentencing guidelines), a moderate fine and six penalty points. He or she will also consider that the court has the power to order either an outright disqualification for a short period (most unlikely) or a disqualification until a test is passed (if the court believes the driver needs to be re-assessed for competence).

Like it or not the Royal Family is not treated in the same manner, in matters such as this, as you or I would. I would be surprised if the Duke is prosecuted. Looking at more details of the incident today, he was not pulling out from a private drive but from the public road that leads from Sandringham to the main road. I know it well and it is a dodgy junction for any driver and there have been three accidents in as many weeks recently.
It was a Land Rover Freelander apparently. No where near the size of a Range Rover. I'd guess that it is probably armour plated though making it pretty heavy.
With low centre of gravity should be very difficult to turn over, I've been on their test track and very difficult to get into trouble if you use right gears.
I wonder how much the family who were the other party would get for a Sunday paper exclusive?
