fender - // islam is not a religion, but a political ideology wrapped as a religion … //

Clearly is is a religion -

Islam
ɪsˈlɑːm,ˈɪzlɑːm,ˈɪzlam/
noun
noun: Islam
the religion of the Muslims, a monotheistic faith regarded as revealed through Muhammad as the Prophet of Allah.
the Muslim world.

However, it has been corrupted by extremists intent on using it as justification for their psychotic behaviour.

// ... as for the advisor, muslims hate the british armed forces, so we do not have to seek there approval, but political correctness comes first. //

That is a ludicrous sweeping statement for which you have no basis in fact - if you are going to post, try not to post things which are clearly competely untrue.

BORING.
"the whole body of Muslim believers, their civilisation, and the countries in which theirs is the dominant religion."
From my dictionary- sounds more than a religion to me.
The terms 'felon' and 'felony' were abolished in 1968 and no longer have any meaning in English law, though US law retains the distinction.

If that's your view, stop posting inaccurate nonsense, then you won't bore anyone.

It may indeed sound more than a religion, but first and foremost, that is what it is, and that is the point I am making.
AH, you really should take your own advice, lol.
Jackdaw - // The terms 'felon' and 'felony' were abolished in 1968 and no longer have any meaning in English law, though US law retains the distinction. //

Thank you for that information.

I am happy to delete the term 'felon' from my list of negative adjectives to describe 'Tommy Robinson' - it's no hardship at all, there are dozens more!!
SparklyKid - // AH, you really should take your own advice, lol. //

I have - some may judge my posts to be nonsense, that is a matter of opinion, but I try hard not to be inaccurate, and certainly not as blatantly inaccurate as you are fond of being.

Let's not make this a spat shall we - it derails threads.

Back to the debate ...
Hardly a debate, you are right ( as always) others who oppose your view are wrong, not much point is there.
SparklyKid - // Hardly a debate, you are right ( as always) others who oppose your view are wrong, not much point is there. //

Taking up contrary positions is essential for any debate to take place.

Any individual posting is going to believe that their view is right - there is no point holding it and expressing it otherwise, and logically, if someone disagrees, that same individual is going to think that the gainsayer is wrong.

However, the essence of debate is to prevent an alternative point of view, and possibly persuade others that their view can be altered.

That is how debate operates, and it's kept this section of this site going for of years, so it appears that is very much a point.
Ooops - for 'prevent', please read 'present' - the correction software has managed to crucially insert the wrong word, destroying my point at a stroke!
Andy-hughes to Fender, //if you are going to post, try not to post things which are clearly competely untrue.//

That is untrue. Take your own advice.
What I can't understand is why we have to have an 'Islamic religious advisor to the Armed Forces' and a 'muslim council of Great Britain' in this country!! Personally, I would love a selfie with Tommy Robinson and I would love to have seen him surrounded by these admiring squaddies.
And Spice I applaud your post at 14:36.
What I see in the report is a group of youthful exuberant trainees and something to break up the mundanity of a motorway service stop - boys do love a catchy chant too.

They'll settle hopefully and get a bit more wise as they go.
//get a bit more wise as they go. //

If only the same could be said for others.
Naomi - // /it [Islam] has been corrupted by extremists intent on using it as justification for their psychotic behaviour.//

That is untrue. Take your own advice. //

So you say - it's like Groundhog Day on here sometimes!
"That is untrue. Take your own advice."

I wouldn't say that is untrue.
I just find it odd how people feel scared of Islam? To be honest.. I'm more scared about getting punched in the face by a Robinson supporter for not being part of the same ideology. That situation is a lot more likely.
