I'm on the fence. I don't understand why the bakery couldn't just grit their teeth and bake the cake. I also don't know why another bakery couldn't be used.

I wasn't being horrible - and to be frank I don't care if you like me or not.
He was recommended that bakery by several people in the office - they did not tell him till a week later that they could not do the cake which left little time to get another bakery to complete the order.

This whole process was never going to be a cakewalk, which in itself raised issues which would end in a verbal bun fight.
Still, hopefully not many tiers were shed by those who made a stand and everybody will get their slice........
