This whole process was never going to be a cakewalk, which in itself raised issues which would end in a verbal bun fight. Still, hopefully not many tiers were shed by those who made a stand and everybody will get their slice........ I’ll get me coat!

I'm on the fence. I don't understand why the bakery couldn't just grit their teeth and bake the cake. I also don't know why another bakery couldn't be used.
Agree with ummmm

He was recommended that bakery by several people in the office - they did not tell him till a week later that they could not do the cake which left little time to get another bakery to complete the order.
because presumably the people were offended enough to take the matter to court.
He was told on the phone they would not make the cake because they don't believe in Gay marriage.
Why should he not take action emmie?
Ok sorry rockrose if I've upset you...you obviously don't like me I'll keep away from your answers or views sorry for any offence I have made to you x
i can't understand why the owners of the characters haven't kicked off. the characters were misrepresented on the cake design. they are not - and never have been - gay.

Common sense answer from ummmm.

//He said he was now concerned about "the implications for all of the gay community".//

What implications?

A unanimous verdict by the Supreme Court. Today is indeed a day of victory for common sense.
I'm glad their won their case for the sole reason no one should be able to tell a business what they can and can't bake.
