His second job .... stand-up comedian.
Dear God, I hope not and this from a Labour supporter ... !
lets us sincerely hope not this from a somewhat disallusioned Tory.
He might be ready, but I don't think the country is ready to file for bankruptcy again

No not yet, we first have to reign in Momentum, get rid of Jeremy Corbyn and install Keir Starmer. Then they will be populist ready. I am not a Blairite btw just suggesting what will happen ( I called this just after Brexit).
A Labour supporter described Keir Starmer as having only one goal i.e self promotion.
Corbyn says they're ready and I completely believe him 100% in this.
JIm, as you might say HaHaHaHa.
danny at 15:41, I think that Labour supporter is right.
Jim, do you think they're ready?
Is Labour ready to govern? Absolutely!

Is the electorate ready to elect a Labour government? Absolutely not!
I think it's a pretty meaningless statement to make anyway -- clearly just playing to the crowd, of course.

But, before I get accused of dodging the question... not really, no.
Absolutely not!""

Why not? 0.o

AB might not be ready but labour got a very good vote last election, taking seats away from the tories
I'm not denying that's probably true regarding Keir Starmer, but from the point of view of how electable someone is between he and Jeremy Corbyn, Keir Starmer knows how to play the game better and is 100% against Brexit. If he could wrangle control of the leadership and Labour went into the next election on another referendum agenda then a fair few would vote on that. However much some people might like to think Brexit is everyone's dream come true, that is less and less accurate, more and more people are turned off the whole idea now they understand the level of misinformation and the utterly useless government efforts at Brexit.
"brexit is about the future of OUR country" "it's not about leadership squabbles"

"...The peoples flag is deepest red....etc!"

Meh, red, blue.. All we want is what's best surely?
I remember David Steele saying to his Party Conference delegates - "Go back to your constituencies … and prepare for government!"

That was in 1981 - and it didn't happen (you can't count the Coalition, which was a stitch-up like two cats, each with it's teeth on the other's throat).
Never. We don't need a Fourth Reich. They are delusional. If Commie cob thinks he is out of the woods from the allegations of anti-semitism then he has a long way to go before he clears up the vipers in his abhorrent party. They couldn't govern a kindergarten and certainly not be trusted with the family allowance let alone the National economy.
Every time those profligate morons get to run HMG the successors spend all their term trying to tidy up and restore our economy.
//If Commie cob thinks he is out of the woods from the allegations of anti-semitism then he has a long way to go before he clears up the vipers in his abhorrent party.//

Mr Corbyn doesn't help himself by cosying up to a known holocaust denier on Monday, Miko Peled - an activist the party claimed didn't have a security pass to the conference, in the face of incontrovertible photographic evidence that he had.
I think the Tories can stuff the economy up all on their own Retro, they don't need our help :)
They already have!!

They borrowed 816 Billion in 8 years compared to the 500 billion labour borrowed in 33 years in office..

They've increased debt by £1 TRILLION

so in 8 years the tories have borrowed and increased debt by more than labour ever did in 33 years in office.

Remember when i wanted to have a political moan? WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE NOT IN PRISON

hat on earth has Theresa may achieved in her time in office? *** all that's what.
