I think his greatest legacy is the inspiration he gave others to study physics, whether that be for a career like Jim, or simply because he made us want to understand more.

I didn't understand his exceptional intelligence and I'll accept that it was acknowledged around the world,God bless him. But I didn't agree with some aspects of his philosophy,namely 'that mankind should look for another planet to live on', I find the though abhorrent; that we shouldn't try and 'clean-up' where we currently live ,for the sake of the billions living here now!

Stephen Hawkings physics theory’s were sometimes believable and sometimes just so out there and zany but one things for sure is he was our favouring guy in a wheelchair.

Just returned from a weeks break in Lanzarote....
Such sad news...he was a great man indeed...always talking with so much wisdom and such an intelligent human being......in tribute to him, I was going to post Keep Talking by Pink Floyd, which featured Stephen's voice on the track, but think that this is more suitable for today....

Rest in Peace, Stephen Hawking.....thanks for just being a true inspiration to all and leaving us with your legacy. May your god bless you always.

there was intense discussion about whether Nobel Prize winners should be given automatic knighthoods ( yes yes I know ) - and about half turn them down

as in No no nobel .....
as in No no thanks - A nobel is prize enough. I dont need to be recognised by a group of faceless mandarins and bureaucrats in central London ......
