Who would you like to see on the note, and why?

It doesn’t necessarily have to be feasible, but the rule is, they must be British (obv).

I personally would go for Attenborough, although it’ll never happen.

Mushroom, the last time the public were asked about anything, they came up with 'Boaty McBoatface' :-)
there's a diverse tenner with Jane Austen on it, and even that brought rape and death threats to the woman who suggested it.

My theory about that is that any name put forward would be immediately shouted down as a politically correct move.

But more importantly than that - there simply aren’t enough ‘diverse’ candidates to be considered, although I know quite a few people who would be happy to see Dame Shirley Bassey gracing the back of a £20 note.
In no particular order of preference:

I K Brunel
Robert Stephenson
Alan Turing
Frank Whittle
Hey big spender.
Mary Berry
Amazed Diana's name hasn't been suggested.
Zippy from Rainbow, then you'd have two reasons to smile whilst holding a twenty spot.
Boris Johnson , He would be delighted.
Why not Winston Churchill?
That was an ironic comment I assume Ladybirder???
Idris Elba
Alan Turing
She means Diana Rigg...
Eddie Izzard

That surely would satisfy our modern electorate.
Nigel farage surely? !!
Dame Cicely Saunders.

// Why not Winston Churchill?// He is already on the new £5 note.
Alan Turing seems such a good choice, Emily Bronte appeals to me for a variety of reasons but it's also her bicentenary next year so seems apt and Stephen Hawking ( although he not dead obviously) would be a cracking choice. If you want to be a bit more contentious you could have Princess Diana, Oliver Cromwell and Guy Fawkes :)
Bit early for TGL but I'd go with Alan Turing or Barnes Wallis, possibly Arthur Harris.
