Labour have never chosen a female PM, yet the Tories have had two, both of which have been extensively criticised by Labour, can we take it from this that Labour are against the idea of placing a woman in charge of the country?

Labour is do as I say not as I do.

So what do you expect?

Could also be none have been suitable although I do find that hard to believe.
You are joking. Have you ever listened to Labour women talking?
They're even thicker than the men.
Perhaps no woman has come along of sufficient quality AOG.....like Mrs May !
You may take the Mick and attempt diversionary tactics Mickey but the fact still remains Labour ar not playing the anti discrimination card very well are they?

I disagree all Labour women are thick. Apart fom Abbott most seem just as capable as the men even if I do dislike their political view.

They could always try Diane Abbott. For reasons known only to themselves she seems to be quite popular.
TBH they haven't had many men PMs either!

I seem to recall two women stood in the last leadership election, though obviously neither were successful.

Prior to that I can't actually ever remember any women entering the Labour leadership race. It's a good question, though, I'm not sure why that is. I doubt it's due to any intellectual objection to women leading the party though. Maybe there are proportionally fewer women in the party?
YMB...don't put words in my mouth....I never said that all Labour women are thick.

Currently, Labour has 101 women MPs, and the Tories have just 70 :::::

Look at the p[ost above yours Mickey, my comment wasn't aimed at you.

Hmm, do you really think using that fact is a positive? If anything it makes it wordse as Labour clealry have more choice!

Even more reason to ask.
Ah, great minds Naomi :-)
:o)
Fail to understand why the shape of one's genitals should have any relevance to one's abilities to function as party leader.
Scoops....lol !

This thread is just another attempt to draw fire away from the present incumbent of Number Ten, who just happens female,
Interesting point, I don't believe the labour party have a woman with the same calibre as Mrs may . :-)
Haridan Harperson was leader for a couple of weeks!
No Mickey, it is a valid question and one which I see the resident left are trying to distract from by pointing at May.

TGL was a great Prime minister so use her as the example. Where is Labours TGL?
Because a female leadership candidate who is good enough, has not come along.
Yvette Cooper and Liz Kendall both contested the leadership in 2015, but neither were leader material.
