As I see it the cause of the explosion has yet to be determined,
Photographs here.......

Luckily, there doesn't seem to have been any significant damage caused to the train and more importantly to passengers.

oh great s/o has started the barl rolling

brave pensioner AOG ( the man they could not gag! - NoW ) (" you should have seen me with my mouth full at the Notting Hill Carnival!" the sweet old man quipped in reply) asked :

In view of the likely person responsible - we must have an inquiry as to why this package was not black or brown -and emitting pagan music or shouts whilst it went off !

ter daah ! sorry not in the mood for serious comment
not innocent shopping then !!
It's got to be a bomb, who else has heard of a plastic bucket in a Lidl's bag ever blowing up?
Yes, it's a bomb.......well worked out, AOG.

However, it appears to have failed to detonate sufficiently (thank goodness) and will, hopefully, yield enough evidence of the manufacturer to enable a swift arrest.

Have you come off your medication again?

In your vast bomb making experience AOG are you going to tell us who made it?
AOG, where is the mention of a plastic bucket in the original report, which is all I had to go on?
I want to be the first to bring the colour component into this
AOG - me first !

/// Yes, it's a bomb.......well worked out, AOG. ///

Just saying, since the police haven't confirmed that obvious fact yet.

/// A photograph of the flaming white bucket taken just after it exploded shows a number of wires protruding out of the top and on to the train carriage floor - but police have not yet confirmed if it was a bomb. ///
I'm not sure it is a laughing matter Peter. There ARE people injured and as yet we do not know if there are any fatalities.

I just hope it is an isolated incident that failed to have the desired effect.
blooming heck!!

am glad to hear of no fatalities and hope those injured recover.

The worst thing is there will be some commuters who will complain about their journey being disrupted....
just been on telly....glad I'm not in London anymore
Strange. Established terrorists tend to make a more efficient job of a bomb. Appears like a rank amateur. Do they have CCTV on these trains ?
there will be some footage !

I took that information from jackthehat's Daily Mail report, even though some constantly lambaste the DM, if you want more in depth reporting that's the place to go. :0)
"ter daah ! sorry not in the mood for serious comment "

then perhaps you leave off posting on what is a serious topic in the news category Peter?
Good on site coverage - beeb
