Just a snap shot of course, but its interesting to see how the decline of the Tories is still happening.

ah mikey me old china, value as ever, back to EC now they are showing some favourable predictions, eh? Priceless! You seriously want Kim Jong Jezza in No 10? really?
Question Author
Yes I do TTT !

But my point is that the Tories would not appear to have recovered from the near debacle of June 9th.

As I said, this Poll is only one, but why are the Tories not more ahead ?
Mikey , it's just like waving a red flag to a bull, or mentioning a second referendum , it never fails,
looks like you have a fan mikey! PMSL!
Yes, and they are being helped by Mrs May saying she will stay on.
Corbyn must be scarcely able to believe his good fortune!
Mrs May now wants to stay on after making the worst political mistake in decades by throwing away a working majority and alienating most of her party!
Have you seen todays Sunday Mail headline by the way ?
Have to agree with you Eddies, Mrs may is labour's best friend at the moment.
Question Author
Eddie....in her defence, May can hardly do anything else, can she ?

The last thing the Tories need now is a Leadership Election, right in the middle of the most important negotiations that this country has seen for many years.

That is why she is begging her colleagues not to make waves :::::

But, as her ex-Chancellor has said, she is a dead woman walking. As soon as the Party thinks there is no clear and present danger, they will descend on her like a pack of slavering hounds.

We just have to be patient.
a fair assessment mikey, I think DD will be the man once he's kicked some EU plaster and sorted the brexit arrangements. He can take over with plenty of time to get on with the important job of wiping the floor with KJJ.
But surely you're arguing that your beloved Marxist leader will ensure there isn't a safe time?
Question Author
TTT....a compliment !....I may have to sit down for a moment !

My money is still on Boris. The difficulty with DD is that he has hardly covered himself in glory over the last few month, and I have some sympathy with him.

No one has ever had to do what he has been tasked with doing before, and nobody really knows how to do it.
Question Author
Zacs....."a safe time?"....not quite sure what you mean there.

The reality is that unless Labour ditch Corbyn, and why should they, it will always be a straight fight between Labour and the Tories, as it has always been.
You are correct mikey....JC has grown into the position of leader and has learned a lot, enough to make Labour a serious threat should there be an early election.
Mrs May? who knows, i have been around long enough to see hopeless PM's hang on until the last moment and still the party wins the election (albeit with another leader).
Trump!!! the knockers are quiet, what about his one million dollar contribution to the Texas fund? Not seen any positive posts.
Mikey, you wrote 'As soon as the Party thinks there is no clear and present danger'

That safe time. Surely if Jezzovitch is on the rise, there will be no safe time.

Is that clear enough now?
Sorry Mikey, but Boris has missed his chance. He's not credible as leader or PM any more.

If DAD can pull off a decent result he will walk into the job.
DD, not Dad
What about Jacob William Rees Mogg, think he should be the next leader of The Con Party.
Question Author
Yes Zacs, clear now !

There will come a time when the Tories will rise up against May, but it isn't right now. History has shown us how savage the Tories can be, when they scent a danger of Labour winning a future Election, as they did when TGL (!) turned out to be a liability.

My best guess is the Grey Wolves will make their move, in the months before the next Election, unless she really does cock things up big time before then.

All Corbyn has to do is sit tight.
'when they scent a danger of Labour winning a future Election'

So by your own definition this isn't now, even though Jezzovitch's popularity is, according to a poll, rising?
Question Author
Oh yes Zacs....of course there is a danger now....if May were to call yet another Election, Labour would probably win, which is why the Tories are going to settle down over the next few months and grind their teeth for a bit longer.
