The difference with this one however that although there was no great damage to property, no fires started, and no police personal injured, there were 21 people arrested.

Yes that's for sure, I bet those that were arrested wished that they had lobbed a few missiles, set fires and smashed windows, perhaps then they would not have been arrested.
Are you purposely not understanding, AOG.

This is exactly why your threads get derailed or deleted!
I'm always glad I got in before things go pear shaped.
The pictures you have posted show Police Officers being able to make make an arrest in broad daylight whilst *not* in the middle of an incendiary situation.

This was not the case during the riots.

You are the one who has a bee in his bonnet about race and skin-colour, AOG, not me.

Then I apologise for misunderstanding you, but if you had put that in the first place there would have not been any misunderstanding?

So let's get this right, the more mayhem one causes the more likelihood is that the police will back off?

Regarding your accusations against me regarding race, all I am seeking is a level playing field and for all of us to treated equally regardless of our skin colour.

Isn't that what others are seeking, if so why is it so wrong for others to seek the same?
5hrs 18mins.

The senior Police Officers seem to believe that limiting a riot as it is occuring and then arresting the main agitators 'after the fact' is the best use of resources. Who are we to say it isn't if these 'anarchists and troublemakers' are arrested, charged and punished?
Lol...took a while!
That's funny, " the jocks go looking for trouble " that would be different to the international reputation of engerland fans eh ? :-)
Why is it that we have a group of people in AB who are set on attacking individuals. Also a moderator who is completely immoderate and has an attitude in her bonnet of 'what I do is my business and don't you dare criticise anything I say or you could be suspended or even banned'.

I am now drafting an email to the Ed.

Hans.
I see the usual right-on snorting has started.
Who is this moderator?

No one is ganging up on AOG, Hans...
I think some very good and clear points have been made here overall.
anne, apparently 'jocks' isn't offensive (hah)

Let us know when you've sent the email Hans.

alba
Hans seems to have a bit of a bee in his bonnet about me, too.
I presume I am the subject of this e-mail?

You can only imagine the terror I feel....
The only people I have an agenda with are those who choose to riot and or brawl on the streets, I wouldn't like the task the Police have in dealing with the situation.
I preferred him when he hung about in Ed's Blog moaning :-)
I do hope not Jack - you're my favourite.x
It's OK JtH - as a feak and weeble woman you just need a man to help you ... I've got your back :+)
