Now sex workers can give blood '3 months after their last sexual activity' - so only not very busy ones, then?
Question Author
and how will we verify? Have they got to fill in a form every time?
Question Author
I mean every time they have sex
It'll be recorded on their tax form.
I don't see why it should, if it's going hand-in-hand with improvements in accuracy for blood tests.
No.
Nope.
AOG , what a belter,
Not unduly. Does it worry you Tora?
It does the opposite to me, and gives me reassurance that we will be relying on better testing methods rather than on what donors disclose.
AOG?
I can't understand why they are planning to let common prostitutes give blood.
When would a 'sex worker' have 3 months off?
lol Zacs !
I,was being serious, actually.
So am I Zacs. I am not convinced that these new testing arrangements are going to be 100% reliable, otherwise why would they need a prostitute to abstain from sex for 3 months ?

Because

///Scientists agree that three months is a comfortably long window for a virus or infection to appear and be picked up in the blood///.
Question Author
that's the thing they say they can donate after not having sex for 3 months but they do not say how that is going to verified.
Why don't they take the donation and then test it? Instead of testing a sample, hoping for the best for 3 months and then taking the donation?
Why not just keep not taking donations from prostitutes ?
