The purpose of his foray into Mexico was for home consumption and it will be a big help to his campaign. Why should illegal immigrants without papers be allowed to remain in the US?

No all that still doesn't explain what the stopid vote is, I can only see reference to the stupid vote.
My vote, if there was an option, would be
No, there won't be a wall no matter who is President because it's a daft idea
Khandro....A big help in building that wall perhaps ?

All it will do is to further entrench the Stopid Vote. What Trump needs to be doing is broadening his appeal, not narrowing it. He needs to persuade the reasonably educated, non-racist, middle of the road voters, and this constant ranting just won't do it. It just makes him look unelectable.

Why the Mexicans pulled out the red carpet for him is beyond me.
AOG - Stupid people who vote for Trump.
He changed it from the Wall, to the Barrier in his speech last night!
AOG...the women thought it would be like "The great wall of China" and you don't think she is stupid ? The video contains lots of people who are pretty clueless.

The evidence is overwhelming AOG !
Tell me AOG....if you were an American, and had the right to vote, would you vote for Trump ?

You don't have to answer this if you would rather not, but I am genuinely interested.
Its estimated that there may be 11 million illegal immigrants in the US.

Supposing that anybody actually wanted to round them up and deport them, how on earth would that take place ?
Mikey: //if you were an American, and had the right to vote, would you vote for Trump ? //

Perhaps a better question to ask (not AOG specifically) is "What the hell is wrong with the state of modern politics that we are even having to ask this question?"
ichkeria; //No, there won't be a wall no matter who is President because it's a daft idea// It isn't Trump's idea alone; almost exactly 10 years ago, on September 29, 2006, by a vote of 80–19 the U.S. Senate confirmed H.R. 6061 authorizing, and partially funding the "possible" construction of 700 miles (1,125 km) of physical fence/barriers along the border of Mexico, a large portion of it is already is in existence.
We were in the States in April and found ourselves talking to many sensible-sounding Americans who supported Trump, we were quite surprised. They were also interested in the Brexit referendum and the supermarket bag charge! There seemed to be many who were planning, then, on voting for Trump as a protest vote against the immigration issue, sounded very familiar. As for a wall, didn't some programme recently show that logistically it would be impossible to build?
Jim....I agree but people can only vote for who is available, or abstain.

Only in America would a candidate like Trump emerge as one of the only two possibles.

The Republican Part has a recent history of promoting weirdo people, like Romney and his Magic Underpants, and Sarah Palin, but these people pale into insignificance when seen up against Trump !
Sorry guys....must away to work now !

And where have I said that, all I am asking is what is the 'stopid' vote.

ummmm tells me it is Stupid people who vote for Trump.
In Mikey's opinion, AOG.
And Trump's missus too ;-)

C. Yes! And Mexico will pay for it.

Not an ideal choice but compared to that Clinton woman, their is no contest.

But then this isn't only about Trump is it mikey, you would *** off any republican no matter who they were, it's all part of your political leanings.
The problem for Trump is that as soon as he starts toning down his rhetoric he starts losing support elsewhere. Hence presumably this current rather hopeless fudge where on the one hand he seems to be talking "tough" and on the other soft.
When he says "they will pay for it", I don't think he is saying they will actually hand over the dosh. 'In 2013, the United States gave Mexico $51.5 million in foreign aid. Of that amount, $24.8 million, the largest segment, was designated for democracy, human rights and governance. The next largest amount, $10.9 million, was designated for the environment, and $8.4 million was designated for economic development.'
I think the cost will simply be withheld from that amount.
