I read somewhere that Nancy Doolallyo, that esteemed thinker, is also urging people to vote ‘Remain’. :o)
The horrifying thing is that even after the vote on Thursday...this won't be the end of the EU debate.

If we leave then every single piece of financial news will be pounced on for evidence that the economy is suffering/improving, and if we stay, the Brexit camp will howl at every piece of news connected to the EU.

We now have this for life...unless one side wins convincingly. And the polls suggest that isn't going to happen.

Christ Almighty.
Based on the change of opinion after seeing a poster showing some of our country's problems (overpopulation/border control) I'd say "has" cracked rather than "is" cracked. The former describes an incident that caused an irrational change, the latter implies a long term defect. Farage, on the other hand, seems always to state the obvious situation but in an easily understandable way so one can only ever agree or spend time trying not to with subject changes, scare stories, or plain old denial.
OG....Whatever we think about the Referendum, most opinion concerning the UKIP poster was critical, like Michael's Howard and Gove, and Chris Grayling have already said, and they are firmly in the LEAVE camp.

It was a typical UKIP response to an issue....nasty, alarmist and unnecessary.
OG, //Based on the change of opinion after seeing a poster showing some of our country's problems…//

There’s something about that poster that the unthinking masses who are huffing and puffing about it have, in their self-righteous indignation, failed to spot. It isn’t about this country – it’s about the endless stream of migrants flooding into Europe. As a member of the EU, like it or not, the result for us is unavoidable.
Some simply feel that the irrational response to it wasn't helping their cause. Sometimes highlighting the truth is counterproductive at a more softly softly approach would have a better effect.
Typical example is the leave battle bus that has indisputably correct figures on it but gets irrational criticism since some folk want temporary discounts subtracted and still others want our share of grants removed too. When folk have no counter argument they simply criticise for the sake of it and hope mud sticks.
OG, there’s no accounting for the intellect of those who, as a result of the politically correct attitudes that have been demanded over the past several years, are now so intent on portraying themselves as anti-racist that they have voluntarily abandoned rationality in the process.
An abysmal performance last night on Q. Time Special, all he could talk about were fiscal matters based on the views self-serving "experts".
^I didn't see it but it's all becoming very repetitive. I'm wondering what more there is for either side to say?
I don't understand this rubbishing of experts views.

When I go to the Dentist, or the Doctors, I expect to get seen by an "expert" and I would be very worried if that wasn't the case. I get my car and my gas boiler serviced by a trained expert, not some "bloke down the Pub"

And yet these fully qualified experts get rubbished when they give their opinion on this subject. A very puzzling dumbing down as far as I am concerned.
Of course it mustn't. I don't believe it for a second. Sounds like a desperate attempt by the Express to turn things round .
I think Cameron's performance last night could well be pivotal. I think it will have swung many of the undecideds. I'll tell you on Friday which way i think it will have swung things
danny...do you really believe that our HNS will be killed off by the Yanks ?

This article is from the Express for goodness sake.... a paper that would have us believe that Princess Diana was killed by Prince Philip.
Mikey, //I don't understand this rubbishing of experts views. //

Who's rubbishing which experts?
MIkey, nothing would surprise me where the EU is concerned.
Too many of the 'experts' have a vested interest in this referendum
danny...with the greatest of respect, that Express article is just a scare story that not even Farage and his ilk believe. There is a debate about leaving the EU to be had, but that isn't it.
Would someone be kind enough to ask Mikey this question please?

//Who's rubbishing which experts? //

I've asked him, but he's not talking to me. Thank you. :o)
