Now the fun starts then
Fantastic a big boost for the exit campaign.
Question Author
Yesterday he was being described as ‘charismatic’. Well, I have seen more charisma emanating from a garden snail, but he seems to be well liked so hopefully he can do some good!

Now it's going to get interesting.
Boris could run rings 'round DC imo.
Considering he's always been pro-EU, it's a big boost to the leave campaign.
Isn't it interest that the people that are figures of public ridicule (Boris, Farage and George Galloway) are supporting the "out" campaign.
Cameron has already warned him against supporting the out voters
I'm a firm 'in' fan but I don't think IDS is doing any convincing. I'm a firm 'boris' fan. I wonder if he can persuade me. As you say Balders, very interesting.
I would have been surprised had he joined the stay camp.
The stars are aligning

1. Boris declares for Brexit
2. Boris becomes leader of OUT campaign
3. Brexit wins
4. PM resigns
5. Boris becomes PM!

or
1 Boris declares for Brexit
2 Boris plays a major role in the exit campaign
3 The in campaign wins
4 Boris stands for leader of the Tories as the hero who fought bravely for Brexit but sadly lost
5 Boris becomes leader of the Tories
I dont mind Boris becoming PM better him than Theresa May who has obvioulsy got her eye on the job, she made so many mistakes as Home Secretary who the hell did she keep her job?? God forbid she gets the job
A Conservative Leadership election as well as a referendum.

Boris bet and lost on Cameron losing the general election. Has he placed a winning bet this time?
And in the parallel universe...

1. Boris declares for Brexit
2. Brexit loses
3. PM strengthened
4. Eurosceptics leave Tory party and join UKIP
5. A united, stronger Conservative party rises from the ashes
Gromit, same as above but
5. Hell freezes over.
I always knew Bozza was a patriot, thank you Boris, lets free ourselves from this Tyranny
I've worked on the same premise as Noe-schitt. Decided yesterday that this was Boris's best - a no-lose situation for him. He will help the 'NO' campaign immensely, but it was always going to be bigger than 1 person and party allegiences must take a back seat. I heard Norman Tebbit yesterday on R4, incisive case for Brexit.
^^^^ ' best option' - grrr, why can't this thing write as fast as I can type!
as usual I responded before I read the other answers, i do that because I prefer to be unaffected by others comments. So now I can deal with the main anti British Commentator on AB, Gromit, the thing is i have no ammo really, but you are presumptuous, you do seem to give the public little credit for grasping the game here.
Zacs Master I'm just curious as to why you are, as you put it, 'a firm 'in' fan'?
