I feel like doing some travelling, very soon.

I've got my first point marked on the map, Northampton. Where else should I journey to?

Blackpool?
But how will you get out of the shed?
Staithes
Oxford. Not too bad a run from Northampton and beautiful place.

Blackpool is a resort (as such). I'd like to see some cities that are a 'different'. I've been to Lancaster a few times and I loved the area. Cheers for the suggestion though. I'm one of those people who like to go abroad to places that don't understand English, just so I can learn their language to get by.

Psybbo: I'm going to bribe gness ;)
Dunno, but how about a sponsored walk for your charity?

Southampton
You could try Peterborough. Lovely cathedral, Guild hall and nearby Longthorpe tower. But *** all else to recommend it. The best thing to come out of Peterborough is the A47..............
Ely and Lincoln, the cathedrals are magnificent, so are the towns too, Ely with Oliver Cromwell's house, Lincoln just splendid.

I would add if you are coming west then Wells and Salisbury for the same reason.

Throw in Bath, Norwich and Exeter as well.

B00, I'll be taking our mascot (Nipper) with me so there will be a serious amount of walking involved. I need some ideas so I can plan where I'm going to stay overnight. I'm not doing it for the charity, I'm doing it for me but I understand it would make sense to turn it into a charity event.
I'd love to do the same and use back roads and see all the old villages
Southampton????? Isn't that like Plymouth and changed for the better after the recent earthquakes that caused £15 mln of improvements in each city?
Question Author
DTC: I'm liking Exeter as a suggestion. I suppose I'm going to start from Northants and move my way down the country SW or SSW. I'm not too interested in going to London.
To Oxford, you have the Ridgeway walk and that is splendid for walking....

You could make Haytor on Dartmoor your final objective - some of us know some super pubs up there on its edges, even in Princetown itself.
Oakham, Stamford & Cambridge.

I'd also like to meet some people from AB on the way if possible. One man and his dog!
