It seems the new Leader of Scottish Labour is intent on mugging the English. What is it about Socialists that hate the thought that anyone has done ok?

Every time you churn out your typical tory anti-Scottish bo11ox I wish i'd voted yes!!

Yes, I said in September that I was sorely disappointed with the result and that further devolution (and the extra goodies promised by the party leaders in panic) would lead to division and rancour.

Believe me, this is just the start of it.
as far as I recall. tory. labour. lib dem. and the queen were delighted re the outcome !!
"I'd be even happier if Eire joined the UK. "

Long time since I heard that sentiment. I can almost hear the cries of, "Lock up your daughters and your valuables, here come the tinkers"

I presume Blackadder that the present denizens of the UK have already taken the precautions that you advise, due to their (imagined ) fear that they already have ,from the "millions"who are already here from Eastern Europe.
I wish Scotland said "YES".
Most of the people we know in Scotland are pleased that they said No
TTT, Go off to bed , you will feel better in the morning.
Well they would be wouldn't they. It's like being allowed to continue running your joint bank account with Bill Gates. It's only the "Rob Roy" maniacs who believe Scotland can survive as an independent nation and the politicians who see an additional gravy train under construction who were miffed at the result.
As a united kingdom I'm pleased that we have stayed together. But I have the feeling that we are being too generous with this new agenda and it won't be the first thing to happen. Alec Salmond seemed to be confident that Scotland could manage without us....now they want more!
From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

isn't that red ed's mantra?
This is from Scottish Labour, so it's a shameless attempt to appeal to SNP voters. He obviously thinks it's the kind of thing that will go down well with them.
He who will not work, shall not eat. (V. I. Lenin)

Pity his latter day supporters to not subscribe to that mantra.
As well witnessed on here, "There's a real emphasis on being witty in Scotland, even in their crime novels."
Murphy knows he's had it.... 15 seats is a joke in Scotland for labour... serves them right!!
I think it is due to their education DTC.. But better not to go down that particular avenue here. ;-)
It appears the SNP outwitted everyone especially Labour.

They gained a ton of concessions that vastly increase the amount of devolved power that Stcotland has.
And they discreditted Labour at the same time. The SNP will pick up dozens of Labour seats (and a few LibDems) and there is a good chance they will be Kingmakers after the General Election. That will come at a cost though, probably Independence, or something similar in all but name.

Miliband and Salmond in coalition is the nightmare scenario for many.
salmond ? don't think so.
Is sturgeon standing for Westminster?
She might be party leader, but only an MP elected to Westminster can go into coalition. (I woyld think).
