You go down to the bar as usual, and the next thing is you're dead...Goes to prove that you just never know when your time is up. Terrible.

Are there still people missing in the building?

Just terrible.

they didn't give details.
I fear there may be more to come.

My local bus driver's pal was there, he got out, but 2 of his mates are still missing.
(This was at 11 AM)
3 of the bodies were found within the helicopter, so we can assume the pilot and two police officers were all killed. Very sad business for all.

very philosophical stew

I cannot agree more - retire early ( I retired and almost immediately started chemo )
Very sad. I feel for the families and especially at this time of the year.
Terrible news for the people who have lost their family members with the probability of more fatalities to come,Bad news at any time but as buterbun say being in the run up to Christmas makes it worse.
Awful thing for all concerned.
Sorry to hear that Peter. Life's a bitch sometimes. X
That's awful! How horrible to be a relative waiting for news, too.
Very sad news.Anyone know what caused helicopter to crash?
Why is there always a tragedy near Christmas!
A really shocking and horrible thing to happen.Condolences to all affected, the 3 in the helicopter must have been terrified. Poor souls.
thats what me and stokemaveric said earlier carolegif there always seems to be something awful happen around christmas time...
These events do make you think. Last Fri of the month was probably pay day for some aswell and I expect Glasgow was busier than normal.
Must be very hard on the police responding where colleagues involved+the emergency staff and medical - however experienced all so fantastic. Feel for victims, families & friends.

a man has been waiting all night outside for news of his dad, who he knows was in the pub last night , knows where he sits is where the most damage was done, so sad,
. I hope they all rest in peace...

Unimpressed by the CC snivelling when he mentioned the police and keeping straight faced over the other 6 - as if bystanders were less valuable ....
Could it be the Chief Constable had more connexion with the three in the helicopter than those who died in the pub? No doubt you would be emotional after dealing with the aftermath for that length of time and having to be the "face" of the police.
he probably regained his composure..those in the helicopter were probably his friends...
