The thread has been going for 20 minutes or so, AOG- some good comments on there
End of an era.

RIP

No doubt we will get some sick comments from the left now.
Sad news indeed AOG may she rest in peace.
Many people dont enter Chatterbank, and it is news.
aog has put his thread in the proper place, which is News.

I shall remember her for the City of London Big Bang, which liberated banks from those fussy old restrictions and did so much to make Britain what it is today.
Yes RIP Iron Lady, you had more balls than the men.

Ok lefties let's have your vitriol you know you've been waiting for this.
oh dear, nobody allowed to say a word against her? How very Korean.
She was the best PM this country has ever had

A great Lady imo, R I P Maggie
It's not that anyone is not ALLOWED to say a word against her, just that some have the maturity and respect to put their feelings to one side.
But she's dead jno which automatically nominates her for sainthood here on AB.

"But she's dead jno which automatically nominates her for sainthood here on AB. "

Not so, but perhaps an 'RIP' thread is not the most suitable place to air your grievances.
Nonsense, missnemesis. Better just to remember the general rule that you should never speak ill of the dead. They can't fight back, being the point. I think very many people in the country hate her and doubtless some have even wished her dead for some time. Now that they have got their wish, I hope they don't celebrate, because that is just sick and tasteless. We should never celebrate a death. In this case her dying doesn't even make any difference, any "damage" she may have done was done a while back. So if you have nothing nice to say about her, then say nothing. It's only polite and respectful.
missnemesis - you haven't given any reasons for disliking her - what are they?
it's just a general "respect" thing.

if you don't have it, you don't have it!
I could have worded that better, ie; show some respect!
Indeed Jno, proper place.
Very saddened, she certainly was a gutsy lady and stood for what she believed in. End of an era.
ZAc, plenty of people here are stating their feelings clearly - because they liked her - and nobody's complaining. Any reason why mine shouldn't be heard?
