No, chaptazbru, you must know by now that only family are allowed to *** off the deceased and then only after the funeral !
"The choice facing the nation is between two totally different ways of life. And what a (sir.) prize we have to fight for: no less than the chance to banish from our land the dark, divisive clouds of Marxist socialism and bring together men and women from all walks of life who share a belief in freedom."

Margaret Thatcher (May 1983).
Most of the disgusting people jumping up and down and celebrating her death weren't even born when she was in power, so how do they know what the situation was like in the UK before? They have just been brainwashed by certain parts of the media and their left wing friends. Unless you were there then you can't really comment.
Errrr I think a good majority of AB users were around before she was elected.

Are you sure about that?

I wasn't around during the reign of Henry VIII - however, it doesn't stop me having an opinion on his reign.

And should we not try to avoid the word 'brainwashing'? People have opinions which may not be the same as yours, but to suggest that they do not have the capacity to come to those opinions through intelligent reflection does your argument no credit.

However, I agree with you that celebrating her death is just...grim.

Grim and very childish.
so long as you dont say anything bad about Thatcher. yes lets debate but only listen to one side
impact - it's all about timing.
DangerUXD - re your post at 21.14 last night.

I think if you take a closer look at the replies on this and other related threads, you will see plenty of us lefties displaying evidence of a soul.

Not all lefties are Maggie bashing, most of us have shown respect for the passing of a great politician, even if we didn't agree with her leadership.

Thank you very much for a mainly respectfully conducted thread, thanks also to the ED for removing what must have been unnecessarily offensive posts.

It is good to know that most of us regardless of our political views can be seen to come together at times such as this.

Thank you once again.
