Well what can be said about these traitors?
They and those who support them are in the minority, judging by the Multi Ethnic crowds who came onto the streets of Leicester in their thousands to cheer and wave their flags in support of the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Cambridge.
So I say to self-haters such as:
Morrissey,and The Smiths.
Roger Waters of Pink Floyd
Jeremy Paxman
and all those others, such as:
Sean Penn
Argentina’s President Cristina Kirchner
Portia Simpson Miller, the newly re-elected prime minister of Jamaica
'Rule Britannia'

Moot point. We were in a conflict and an enemy warship was within the exclusion zone. The so called 'heading' of the ship is immaterial. It could have been heading for a re-supply or a multitude of different tasks prior to re-deployment. They (Argentina) invaded British Sovereign territory inhabited by Brirtish subjects.
Would the Argies have resisted sinking the Ark Royal in similar circumstances?
Would they b*llox!
As for the Royal Family, love them or loathe them this country and its economy would suffer greatly financially without them, that's a fact.

Yeah, they certainly suffered as a result of it (one facet at least) last year, karenmac60.

Statistics show that many visitors to the UK visit Royal palaces, and other historic buildings, because of their links to the Royal family.
Statistics show that many visitors to Poland visit Auschwitz before of its history.
Just because something (thankfully) becomes nothing more than 'history' doesn't stop the tourists from visiting. The assumption that getting rid of the 'Royals' would harm the economy simply doesn't hold water.

Ask yourself if the UK economy would suffer as a result of the abolition of the Royal Family.

I'm not a Royalist but I can spot a major boost to/part of the UK economy when I see it. UK Tourist Boards would be horrified if we had no monarchy.

Wharton,
Probably lost in the 'fog of war', along with the memoirs/diaries surrounding missing nuns of one Captain Alfredo Astiz.
UK Forces nullified a potential threat. Strange that the Captain of the Belgrano and the Argentine government acknowledged that the ship was a legitimate target.
If we want to talk about potential threats we could debate why the Argentine Air Force Pucara's were equipped with napalm. Thankfully they never got to use it.

Really? Maybe you need to look at the figures for Balmoral and the subsequent revenue it provides as a 'spin-off' to local hotels and B&B's alone.

As I said, love them or loathe then they make a significant impact to Scottish (and UK) tourism.
