Can't remember who it was but someone recently posted on here that this would be a waste of time and that she'd miss school etc.

IMHO she embodies the British spirit for adventure and exploration that we used to be so famous for. All good character building stuff, a fantastic achievement.

Good for her, it's an amazing opportunity to have.
just sounds like sibling rivalry to me.
100 times more educational than going to school in my opinion. Education should be more about broadening the mind. Well done to her.
bet that was amazing

Oh well jno, better that type of rivalry than the type that sees some of today's feckless youth outdoing each other in looting, ASBO's and teen pregnancy.
next thing the Hempleman-Adams baby will be demanding that he be pulled on a sled to the east pole.

Good luck to her, it must have been a lot of fun (though reasonably safe fun). I wouldn't swear it's of much educational value, though. She wouldn't even have had the chance to learn 50 Eskimo words for snow as she was in the wrong hemisphere.
A great achievement with a doting dad.
good girl, what a fantastic experience.
there's more to character building and education than facts and figures!

as i said at the time, good on her!
lol. why were they pulling poo in a sledge?
Because you can't "dunp it" in a conservation area!

Well done girl!
^dump^
she was on the radio yesterday. She took homework with her to do on the flights and at the hotels
