Ah Naomi, I will honestly stop moaning at you. Never meant it personally its just that certain topics get me a bit would up. Truce?
A practical proposition, maggiebee, and that seems to be one truce on the AB horizon.

Now bring on the Holy Trinity and our blessed Sith now in this so-called season of peace and joy.
I like that, maggie.
Nice quote. I can't argue with the sentiment.

It's a shame that it came from a devout catholic which kinds of tarnishes it with a patina of hypocrisy. But it's still a nice quote.

The catholic church has a history of exploiting people across the globe for its own gain. For example, it did so (and continues to do so) in Africa, prompting the famous quote from Desmond Tutu -

“When the missionaries came to Africa, they had the Bible and we had the land. They said "let us close our eyes and pray." When we opened them, we had the Bible, and they had the land.”
Maggie, thank you for that. :o)
Birdie,
weren't they mostly Protestant missionaries?
I notice you say that you're a lapsed Catholic. You'll know that the doors of the church, like those of The Ritz, are open to everybody.

Don't ALL religions do the same?

The very reason I'm a born again Agnostic!
Is employing people termed using?

Anyway, I love my computer and there ain't nuthin you can do about it.
Sandy, you don't quite have to sell your soul to get into the Ritz.. :-)
Sandy - “... Birdie... I notice you say that you're a lapsed Catholic...”

Err... no! Where did you get that idea?

^ “... Celtic FC, as you probably know, have traditional connections with Roman Catholicism...”

Sectarianism between various Scottish football clubs is rather pathetic as it is between the various communities in Northern Island.
Isn't that New zealand?
* Northern Ireland

D'oh!
Birdie, I don't know where the lapsed Catholic bit came from. Sorry.
